Skydivers are awesome

Just had to say that skydivers everywhere (well almost) are awesome. Just got back from a trip to Rochester, NY to see some friends (and the godchildren).
Convinced my buddy to do a jump at Frontier Skydivers. He totally enjoyed it. The folks there were extra nice to move him up on the tandem list because he had his 10 month and 2.5 year old children with him, and there was no way they'd make it all day without turning into problems.

I agree for the most part Spectre. Most of my family gets on my nerve (and we all know I only have one) but I enjoy having my girls around. They are pretty cool at the DZ too!

At all the dz's I've traveled to, most of the skydivers there were great.
BTW, did you know we met 2 weeks ago? I didn't know who you were at the time and I know you didn't know who I was. So can you figure out when you met me?

I need some more hints. I was at Skydive Chicago and also at Quincy two weeks ago.
So where did we meet?
Did we jump from the same aircraft?
Were you working at either convention?
Were you by chance driving a golf cart around at Quincy?
Did we meet off or the dropzone?

Last weekend at the DZ, most of the Quincy stories I heard were about the Rodriguez Brothers (lots of them at my DZ) and their golf-cart misadventures - there were almost NO jump stories.

Oh yeah, I remember you. I always remember the cute ones . So you've also met Broken Eagle, and I believe you knew Dead Bird from before.
Jeff & Christa (Da Base) are too cool. I'll have to come back some time when it isn't 100 degrees. We only got one jump in up there. We spent most of our time downstairs with Jeff trying to stay cool.
Funny thing, I jumped from one of Roger's planes (same I jumped from there 220AE) up in Niagra Falls, NY last week. I was up in Rochester visiting a friend. I talked him into trying a jump and I was like "hey, I've seen this plane before".

Wow. I can't believe somebody from the forums actually came and made a jump at my home DZ. If I'd known you were there I'd have introduced myself. Pretty cool place to jump, eh?

Yeah, I had fun. My friend really enjoyed himself as well. They asked me if all DZ's were like that. He might be back again some day. He loved the jump, but right now he isn't in a situation which would allow him to totally jump into the sport. But he might do a couple tandems a year, just for fun.
