Viking 0 #1 August 20, 2001 Oh man where do i start!! Today was just it was BLAH i can't put it into words! but i will try.I start out my bitchen day with a nice long shower in which my mind wondered to skydiving and for some reason the fear hits me now while i am taking a damn shower!! my heart stars racing and thinking of all the bad shit that could happen in every stage of the dive but then i think about just after getting out of the plane and the fear just melts away along with my clogged sinus's ). So i wait around for said girl to show so i can go manifest and get my bitching day started and stuff but i wait till 4pm and still no show damn where is she!!! oh well i geuss she got hung up or somthin i will go manifest. So i do and am put on load 8. I suit up but have to take my rig back off b/c i forgot to check the cypress!! whoops . anyway i get on the plane and the whole time Adam and Steve were talking about something but i didn't think anything of it at the time. I just went ahead and got my mind ready. So we are at 12.5 and i get in the door and do what adam told me not to do, i grabed the bar he grabed my hand off and when i looked back to yell my count at him all i saw was steve then all of a sudden Adam fucking push's me out!!!!! i remember thinking to myself hey wait a sec i havn't been here that long and didn't even get READY out before he did it. Now this is what him and Dave my video guy were talking about. the plan was that he would nod and then shove me out. Of course everybody but me new about the whole thing so steve who was videoing a tandem got the look on my face right as Adam pushed me out its fucking classic!! So i am on the hill and i didn't flip it!!!! (i am just messin Michele i really wish you could have made it) so i screamed anyway and went off to the store to get the BEER!!!! Now comes my first solo dive This was the longest damn fall so far we got to 13.5 and i was second to last out i waited a good 7-8 secs and watched the freeflyer who got out before me. i then do a diving exit and on my way out i feel my left leg hit the door i had no idea how bad it was so i just ignored it and went on with my dive. I did some tracking which resulted in my right riser cover coming loose with i grabbed and made sure that nothing was getting pulled or anything it was ok so went back to getting a planet shoved up my ass damnit thank god he gave a long time between. Well I learned several thing 1) ALWAYS get as far forward in the door to aviod kissing it on the way out!! 2) open at the alti you set for youself unless you want to get buzzed by someone falling past you!! Michele 1 #4 August 20, 2001 Arthur, I am so goddamn sorry I couldn't be there! I feel so fucking guilty. I had re-arranged my schedule and everything, but things happened this morning. I seem to have scratched my cornea, and had to go see the doctor, who won't let me drive, and I couldn't do the 5 hour round trip. So i think a better goal would be like November but you can come down after you get your A and do a jump with me i think they allow that And KIMMER!!!! the only reason i didn't mention your not being there is b/c you contacted me before hand but i still wish you had been there!!!!
