Para Track - Radio Parachute Tracking System

Recommended Posts

depends on where you live. there were three canopies (at least) unlocated on Saturday at Cross Keys. One of them was found Sunday afternoon. The problem - it was in a tree 60 feet up, not visible by air (a cessna was rented to go out and look for it). and barely visible from ground (as a purple/green/black canopy would be). living in a dessert, or farm land, that might be a different story. that said...I'll rely on my eyes though and not spend that $$.

Like the pic with the company logo/name - I can just hear the 'Oh crap!' (amongst other 4 letter explitives) when that poor sop looked up. :)
And the transmitter is weighed in 'grains'? Me thinks somebody was casting bullets a bit too much in thier free time - just kidding :)

Jetstream - inside center -- you probably know Joe from Skydive U - we're typically first out. what jump suit do you wear - I'm sure we've been on a few loads together. Wild Bill's apprentice found Joe's Velocity Sunday afternoon. right behind the BBQ in those trees. I knew it was in there, but didn't look, my legs were already scratched up enough.

Yeah....$50-$100 is reasonable and I would probably get it for that price when I buy my own rig.
Weid....I wear the Orange and Red jumpsuit, white helmet. Using demo gear. I was on like 3 loads with you guys last Sunday. I did a couple jumps with Charles Cresp, the guy from France.

"$50-100 is about right, since that what the parachute retrieval team charges"
What? At most.....most I wont dog which one but most DZ's people will go get your main and free bag for free. Thats the way it is at Raeford, NC and Skydive Atlanta anyway.

we looked for 4 hours on Saturday - even rented a plane. There is an "outside contractor" how really knows the woods and area around the DZ. People were out looking, but this guy usually finds the stuff long after we've given up. It's not like he's there waiting, I think he's got all the tree climbing gear also.
