Lindsey 0 #51 August 10, 2001 I saw that somebody else does taekwondo too! That's also one of my fun things. I like to play guitar, play baseball with my 4 y/o son.....and (hee HEE...) I just started medical school! It's awesome! so much to learn...."I live with fear and terror, but sometimes I leave him and go skydiving!"
SpeedRacer 1 #52 August 10, 2001 I've been pretty busy studying and taking MCSE classes in the evenings & haven't been able to jump much. But usually I like backpacking and brewing beer.I'm thinking about getting a grain mill and making all-grain beer, instead of buying the expensive malt extract from the home brew store. I've figured it out: I could make awesome beer for about six dollars per case!!Speed Racer"Come up to my lab,And see what's on the slab!"

rainman 0 #54 August 10, 2001 Jeezzz, my list of hobbies suddenly strikes me as boring It seems like everyone is rock-climbing, racing, mountainbiking or doing other high-adrenaline things when they're not skydiving....Badminton anyone?!?!?!?! I just love that game, for the action and for making me really tired in a really short time. When there's a lot of wind I like to wrestle the kite that I built. At just over 4 sq. ft, I'm loading it at about 1:47 (!). It doesn't actually lift me off the ground (it develops by far the most power when it's just above the ground and exactly downwind from me), but dragging is definitely an option!!!Ramon
 AirMan 0 #55 August 10, 2001 Yes, Flying is great! Flying your body OR flying airplanes. I have been taking flying lessons for awhile off-n-on, although have basically quit ever since I began flying my body, but I sure do MISS it...especially flying a traffic pattern and setting up for a landing. (So similar to landing a canopy, but a little scarier, haha.) I'd LOVE to take-up Scuba-diving next, but Hell, who's got the money? I'm open to other stuff too, but the only other place I feel at home besides the sky, is on a board surrounded by waves.Skydiving is gravity powered.Surf is ocean powered.Ocean is powered by the pull of the moon (and some other stuff but whatever),and that pull is gravity.I think gravity is good.
