Yeah Iflyme, I understand what you're saying (though I don't have kids). Not enough time or money, too much else going on in my life to skydive as much as I'd like. Now I'm taking MCSE classes in the evenings & have to study & take exams on weekends sometimes.
Don't feel bad, Iflyme! Some of these maniacs can skydive every weekend because they live twenty minutes from the DZ and/or they live with their parents & don't have to pay rent/mortgages.
I did my first jump two years ago, and I only have 60 jumps. I've been too fucking busy, and vice versa!

Pammi, you're full of shit! If you had 14 jumps you wouldn't be going to Quincy! LOL - as it is you have one more jump than I do and we are probably going to be the lowest jump numbers there except for the AFF students! hehe Tent #4 here we come!!

I now have a grand total of........ 72 jumps.
I am inching along... It has been over a year.
I have trouble paying $33 per jump. My rig and all the components should be in this week. Then my jumps will be $17 each. I suspect my jump numbers will start to rise!!!

Ya, Speedy, I know what ya mean - it took me almost 3 years and 3 months to get to #100 ... but I guess if you're having fun, than that is what counts the most! I just read on another thread that Alex makes $16/hour ... I'd never ever be able to afford even 1 jump if I was makin' that -- but then Alex doesn't have the expenses I do... Since I got my B-locence, jumps are $10 cheaper, so that goes in the "plus" column!

161 -made in 4 years-and I was'nt a low jumper...But I've made them in '89 thru 93.. just think of a ride to '6000 in about 30-45 min and you'll know how lucky you are -lol -I think a baloon ride does'nt take that long this times

Hehe! At 14 jumps I was still a really bad IAD student! Can you imagine?! LOL! I see on the WFFC forum the whuffo's are getting upset that they can't come party with us back in tent city..they have to be a guest of a skydiver to get back there now apparently. Bwahahaha!

I have 61 jumps, made in 1 1/2 years, and with a 7 month break in there. But, now that I more confidence, a great new home dz that I love, and a new rig, there's no stopping me now!

Hey sis,
I'm sooooo glad to be back among the cool people. I am so sick of talking to whuffos!!! (and it seems like every damn person I know is a whuffo!!!) I had to do a recurrency jump (Level 3 AGAIN) last weekend, now that I finally have $$ to skydive again. Best thing about the jump...... no PLF.... actually stood it up. Doing Level 4 this weekend... just trying to find a good dz in this crappy state (Minnesota).
