Jumpin in Wedding Dress

If one decides, to get married in da plane, how does one jump outta da plane with a full length wedding dress. Just thinking now, head down might work, lots of drag but could become messy come pull time. Promise to wear lace underwear ;)

it's legit and legally binding, I know a couple people who have gone this route to get married in less than conventional ceremonies.

I have a couple of friends who "took the leap" from a Queen Air. She had Bev make her a great looking jumpsuit. All white with lace and pearl beading on the grippers, the whole nine yards! It was great. They took their vows in the plane and out they went for the big smooch. Unfortunately, the witnesses (me and 3 others) all went low because they were both really tiny and floated like hell. It was still cool though.

We had a couple get married in the air at Skydive Walterboro. (I wasn't there, just saw the pictures.) We have an ordained minister that jumps there.

I think the "dress" idea would look pretty funny through the leg straps. Go with the white jumpsuit idea. I've seen quite a few "lords of the church" skydive to marry people. Just ask around and put in some posts about it and I'll bet you'll find one, or do it on the ground and then go up for the fin-ally.linda

A friend of mine got married in freefall wearing a custom jumpsuit - white with lace and all that foo-foo stuff. She also had Hat Shoppe make her a frap hat using the same white lace for the arrows. Hubby wore his tux. It flew pretty good.
There are lots of skydiving "ministers" out there... just ask around!

I would hate to be above that when that accidentally cuts away. I don't think the cutaway handles would be very pretty but then again, noone looks pretty in freefall.

I think that rocks! Cutaway the dress!! Rig underneath, doesn't matter what else is down there, whether it is nudity or undies or jumpsuit. Human's choice.

Cute I like that idea...Already married now...hoping for Hawaii for Honeymoon...Knew a jumper from Brisbane unfortunetely I'm not good with names met him at Corowa at the world meet. I know big world lots of skydivers but you never know.
Still think we may have a ceremony at Eloy maybe jump out of the balloon.

Dont remember the name but remember he had a video camera but still a student so could not jump with it yet, was hmmm in October 99.
Think there is alot of skydivers, well if you include the oletimers like me...and always lots of good stories. Interesting to know how long some of these dz's have been around...alot of history.
Met a few from McCoy too, dont think I got the spelling right. They took me under their wings ;)
Hope all is well with everyone, some skydivers I met dont have access to the net when I met them and I'm not very good to keep up with regular mail and phone calls.
