Just FYI, SkydiveUSA is no more. The owner of Skydive Houston has bought all the equipment. There aren't any plans I know of to keep it running.

Some of you might know what Im feeling now. My home DZ, the first drop zone I ever walked onto. My AFF, friends, ALL THE PEOPLE who have come and gone. That familiar view of the drop zone while under canopy, the old crappy mock up. Bored skydiver stuff we used to pull on bad weather days. Eventhough I've moved on from there. Just the fact that you can never go back to your Home DZ is sad.

I know that feeling. I had already moved on from my original DZ (Woodstock, CT) when it closed, but it was still sad to know I could never go "home".
All the spots: the 'X' building, the round building, the first, second and third fields, all never to be "spotted" again.
