skreamer 1 #1 June 24, 2001 Hi guysSunday morning and I'm back at work. Got 7 good Jumps in this weekend and just wanted to tell you about one of them (sorry bit of a long post). It was a 2-way yesterday afternoon (BTW this personal hygiene thing is great! now people don't mind jumping with me!!!I mean really! At '5 000 deciding to START going into a sit, losing visual contact with the ground AND losing altitude awareness.... I swear if that was a bloke I really don't think I would have been able to stop myself from hitting him!/sPS BTW on Friday I was invited on Ric's 100th jump (even though I certifiably suck at RW). We launched a 3-way with camera. Lost Gus on the exit HA HAA!!, then 5 seconds later they lost me (Mr. Floaty rides again!). I lurked their jump from an ever increasing altitude after that and they made a very nice 2-way. Anyway, thanks for inviting me on the jump Ric (even though you knew I would fuck up)."Blue Screens Black Coffee"

gus 1 #3 June 24, 2001 QuoteI was invited on Ric's 100th jumpWell done Ric mate.QuoteLost Gus on the exit HA HAA!!WE WERE UPSIDE DOWN! Your 2-way sounded 'interesting'. WTF was she doing? Did she give you an explanation?I was on a 3-way once with a new guy, uneventful jump until I looked down under canopy (probably at about 2.5k) to see him still hurtling towards the ground. He opened at about 2k but for the 1 or 2 seconds I was watching him before he opened were a bit scary. I asked him about it after the jump and he seemed to think it was pretty normal......Cheers for the jump dude, have a good time in the states.Gus"If a man hasn't found something to die for, he isn't fit to live"Dr Martin Luther King Jr.
MC208B 0 #4 June 24, 2001 Hey Skreamer, welcome back, was about to send out a search party for you! It's pretty scary watching someone go low isn't it and not a damn thing you can do either. I.E. that bonehead a few months ago that went past me opening at 3K he got smaller and smaller until his reserve fired at maybe 800 feet. Didn't pull anything. The DZO is going to let him keep jumping but he has to start over completely 1st jump course etc and this clown had 45 jumps when he almost went in!Anyway, welcome back. BTW, where ya been? skreamer 1 #5 June 24, 2001 Howdy Mike!I remember when you posted that story - but until you are the one watching somebody go low, you don't realize just what a horrible, helpless feeling it is! I have been a bit scarce (by my usual 50 posts a day standard that is) - my company has contracted me out to do network support for a live TV station and the bastards are actually making me work! Its kind of good though because I was too deep into the comfort zone before and wasn't learning anything new (or working very hard for that matter).Anyway, I am surprized they are letting your cypres test pilot jump again - if he ever gets to solo freefall again you guys should make him do LOADS of hop 'n pops from '3 000!Only 5 more sleeps until I fly to Florida, meet my new rig and jump my ass off!/s"Blue Screens Black Coffee"
