Pammi 0 #2 May 30, 2001 Thanks for asking! Yes, I passed!! Merrick did also!! :) I need to finish filling out all that junk and fax it in this weekend...actually ended up so busy jumping that I didn't get time and need to get it all signed off on before I send it. Woohoo!! Glad to hear you got it!! Some of those questions were just silly :/ Everyone at the DZ was kinda the same..just pass it and most of that stuff won't matter later anyway. More the technical rules and such. I heard some of the questions from the D test tho...ouch! Really gonna have to study for that one when it comes time!!"The question is not whether we will die, but how we will live." http://trak.to/skydivechick
Iflyme 0 #3 May 30, 2001 Way to go, JT! Writing the old test when you are up on the new SIMS kinda sucks... I think you should seek a free J/T for retribution! Congrats to you and Merrick, too, Pammi! Now when do you start working on you "B"? I just need to get my coached jumps done for that one - passed the written portion on my first time thru! jtval 0 #4 May 30, 2001 actually the last load WAS free! so i felt good with it.ha ha!it was a sunset load(duh) and there was a storm a few miles away but the winds were close to zero at the dz. so we went up to 11,500(cant complian for free) i did my 1st 5 way andwatched the sunset and the lightning off in the distance.(at altitude you can see the fires that were burning, if you looked for 'em. (florida is going through thier yearly wild fire phase)it just keeps getting better, doesn't it?!have fun,, live free, skydive!!!JT
skymama 37 #5 May 30, 2001 JT-Cograts on your license (you too Pammi and Merrick)! Where were you jumping that you were able to see the fires? I'm just wondering because I live close enough to be smelling the fire all day.Andrea"Up high, I feel like I'm alive for the very first time"...Creed
jtval 0 #6 May 30, 2001 i was jumping in palatka. when i drove down from valdosta ga we went through enough smoke to totally hurt my eyes and throat. the closest fire was about 20 miles west of keystone heights airport. pretty wierd stuffJT
