Krishan 0 #1 May 23, 2001 I finally got a taste for "stable" headdown this weekend. I was jumping a brand new Michigan Suit which I think helped. It was soooo cool. I always figured that it comes you to all at once, but now I realize that you get it very slowly. Every jump you get a little more of a handle on it. Last jump on Sunday (sunset load) I held it all the way down and was able to keep my self facing the setting sun. It was soo awesome.Just thought I'd share that.Blues

Iflyme 0 #3 May 23, 2001 Right on, Krishan! That rocks!!! I've just started to get into freeflying, and had a real good sitfly last weekend! Yeehaw!!!
Krishan 0 #4 May 23, 2001 I do have a big head. good guess. But I also have an oxygen A3 with racing stripes on it so that reduces drag and makes me go faster :-) haha. Speaking of that helmet it actually came open on me in sit last weekend. Kinda bummed me out, I just flipped it back down and continued to have a kick ass dive.Blue skies and fast inverted/vertical speed.

Geoff 0 #9 May 24, 2001 Yeah - it's a great feeling isn't it, the first really stable one - it took me about 450 jumps (but I did RW for most of those).I'll never forget the sunset load when it finally 'clicked' - head down, doing 180 turns, watching the setting sun in one direction, then the moon in the other, then back - sun, moon, sun, moon. One of the best moments of my life. Krishan 0 #10 May 24, 2001 It truly is like nothing else in the world. I have 156 jumps so I think I'm doing pretty well. I definitely plan to take it slow and do lots of solos. Although I dont get much time to practice at my dz, since we start at 5000 feet, we only get up to 10K above the ground. It's all good though.
Slowfaller 0 #11 May 24, 2001 Man, all this talk. I really need to jump, this weekend will be 4 weeks!!! I'm like a herion addict with the shakes I have. I'm literally shaking in my shoes!!! I cant sit still...a couple of nights ago i had a dream I was head down. It was awesome, cant wait for the real thing!!" Quit your whining and get a job so you can not use ' I dont have the money.' excuse and get some altitude!! "chris
PalmettoTiger 1 #12 May 25, 2001 Yeah slowpoke, I know what you mean. I haven't jumped since March and the 3rd floor of my office building is beginning to look high.I would say that I'm going to buy a rig in 3 weeks, but I'm on the Freaksister Secrecy System so I won't do anything like post my plans on a public message board... airann 1 #13 May 25, 2001 Freemind, freesky, freebeer, freefly>>>Haro: I LOVE THAT.Anyway, because of your low exit alt. Be careful freeflying is a much shorter skydive so be alt aware. Come on over and jump with me, I am in Houston Texas, you can find it. And everybody knows me, so no worries. My roommate can coach you for like nothing for your special circumstances and cause I told him to. He is like my kid. I love him. He runs the gear store at the most fantastic Skydiving Resort that I go to. Also you can find him at flyvertical.com ask him anything about anything and he will get your answer.
