skymama 37 #1 May 21, 2001 Someone told me they saw a guy being interviewed on tv today who broke the Guiness World Record for doing the most jumps in 24 hours. Supposedly he did 500. Does anyone have any info about this?
cdunham 0 #2 May 21, 2001 I'm not sure 500 is possible. That would be one every three minutes. I'd love to know what jump ship he used to do that with!
 propblast 0 #3 May 21, 2001 I believe I saw something about this in one of my many searches online or in the bookstore. He used several different ships. Volunteer packers and a couple different rigs. He also paced himself. I believe he could have jumped more than he did. Im not sure if it was 500 or not but it was a lot. -ePropblast
 Donna 0 #4 May 21, 2001 Michael Zang started his jumps at 6:13 p.m. Central Standard Time on May 18, 2001 and finished at 6:13 p.m., May 19, 2001, beating the World Record by 24 skydives!!! Why can't some people make a damn twenty-minute call? This guy would be on his eighth jump by the time you drag your sorry ass to the plane (oh, shit, that was me ). He had been planning it for a while, and was waiting for enough sponsors. I believe he had approximately 20 rigs, 5 packers, and 2 or 3 airplanes. I don't remember the details, but he had a lot of support behind him. Kudos to him and Skydive Texas.
