chronistin 0 #1 April 22, 2001 Hi everyone,I've been lurking for some time and now I feel it's time to make my first post. After dreaming about skydiving for most of my live, i did a tandem in 1999 and was totally enthusiastic. Took me some time, but I finally got around to taking a course this february. Lots of fear, lots of fun.Now I'm only two jumps away from graduation, and for 4 weekends it's been RAINING. This sucks! I'm sitting at home and reading everything skydiving-related I can get my hands on. Online and offline. I want to be up there! Now!Well I guess I'll just have to wait another week *sigh*Anyway. German-speaking folks aboard? If so, and if it's raining at your DZ too, maybe you're bored enough to check out my skydiving homepage at http://www.wortwerkstatt.at/skydiving/ (some fotos. jumplog. a very personal answer to the question "why")looking forward to "blue" conversation, as long as the skies remain grey ;-)Andrea || Chronistin

Dirtsucks 0 #3 April 22, 2001 Hey Andrea, sorry about that rain. Remember – April showers bring May jumps! Screw the flowers, looking at the tops of clouds is much prettier! Welcome, nothing but blue conversations here. Okay, maybe not always, but that’s fine too – if ya can’t jump, bitch about it !! It’s our god given right, and I exercise that right quite often .See ya!Josh

Deleted 0 #5 April 22, 2001 I will! thanx for listening. there must be lots of good jumps ahead this year, or else... or else I'll just go on whining, i guess (a little surprised that someone answers at this time of the night... but then it's probably day where you're located... i just love the web ...) chronistin 0 #6 April 22, 2001 Ooops, i thought I was still logged in... anyway, I couldn't think of anything worse than rain... but blue skies with no DZ around are definitely worse
Donna 0 #7 April 22, 2001 How about blue skies, nice warm weather and you had a stupid injury and screwed up your knee so could only watch others jump?
Doasfu 0 #8 April 22, 2001 How about blue skies, warm weather, nice breezes, being physically fit, and having a 12 page paper due in two days.Dan
Donna 0 #9 April 22, 2001 I should think that an hour a page should be good enough. That gives you 36 other hours. You must be able to use a couple of them to jump. After all, that will help clear your brain of cobwebs so you'll be able to write a better paper. Right??? Blues,D
