skybytch 273 #1 April 6, 2001 For those who don't know, I had a couple of discs fused in my back in January. Yesterday I went and saw my neurosurgeon again. He's letting me go back to work full time next week (yay!), but even MORE important - he said that I can jump again in June if the fusion has taken!!! That's only two more months!!! Eight more weeks!!! 60 more days!!! Wooo Whoooo!!!!!pull and flare, lisa
FallnAngel 0 #2 April 6, 2001 That is *great* news, Lisa!! P.S. Did you get your new Spectre ordered so it will arrive by the time you're ready to get back in the air?? I thought I remember a post where you were busy designing one...It's definitely a canopy that will be kind to your back! Shark 0 #12 April 6, 2001 Skybytch,The Shark will be there for the ceremonial jump! It'll have to be out of the Super Shark, though.... That's great news! FFPlaymate & Al B can *show* up, too. (Clothing is optional.)
cloud9 0 #13 April 6, 2001 Hey SkybytchCongrats on your successfull surgery hope things go well till June.I had a fusion myself (only one) at L3-L4. They put a titainium cage in mine, it still bothers me some but no problems jumping so far. The worst thing is the ride up gets a little uncomfortable on the little planes. Opening shock has not been a problem and landings are ok but I have been carefull. Hope you have the same success. Some fun eh!
Albatross 0 #14 April 6, 2001 Come on Shrk Playmate told you that she don't do that at Perris so it will have to be at Elsinor. Blue Skys and Safe LandingsAlbatross

skybytch 273 #17 April 6, 2001 Thanks all for the good wishes! It'll be a total of eight months on the ground by June... longest I've ever gone without gettin my knees in the breeze. You all have been a large part of keeping me sane the past months and I really appreciate it!As for the first jump back it will have to be at Perris cuz that's where I get free jumps and have the use of demo gear(ahh... the benefits of working for a skydivers toy store...). My tax money ended up all going for a new puter and paying bills so I have to sell my old rig before I can buy anything new (anyone looking for a Reflex/MR135-M? ); looks like my new custom Spectre is going to be a new stock Spectre instead. Oh well, I'm the one who designs the stock canopies for work and I've already ordered one for stock that will go just perfect with my colors...pull and flare, lisa
