I'm finally current again!

Recommended Posts

Alright, since last October I'd been tormented with all of the awesome jump stories everyone else on this site got to tell... Finally, after some 4 and a half months the weather and the rig were in the same place at the same time. (I sold my rig this winter...needed the money, and just got my new one two weeks ago) .You see in Oregon we don't get many days where the DZ is open, your reserve is in date, you've got money for jump tickets, and the weather is nice enough all that often. So anyway, I finally got to take my new Sabre out. I was tripping out pretty bad before I got to the door man. I've never had so many morbid thoughts go through my head at once! Well, everything went fine and I'm now officially back!!! Just wanted to share that little tidbit, thanks for listening. Oh, and it's my b-day, so happy 24th to me!!!

Happy Birthday!!
I noticed that the weather was pretty crappy over the weekend and wondered if you'd actually get to jump...did you have to do hop n' pops, or did you actually get some altitude? Looks pretty nice today!

Congrats Diver!! It's great isn't it?! How do ya like the new canopy? I'm getting a kick out of not flying the Manta anymore...what a difference. Woohoo! Not quite as drastic a step-down for you, but a blast anyway I'm sure!

Thanks everyone, you sure know how to make a skydiver feel good on the ground :)
Pammi,
It actually was quite an increase for me. I gained about 20 pounds since my last skydive and dropped 20ft off my canopy...It moves along just fine now.

LOL. I bet you're glad. I remember going home every night after my AFF jumps on a Manta and being unbelievably sore. I had massive bruises on my inner thighs from those **** openings. I jumped a PD 190 on my Level 4, and I was actually reaching for the handles by the time it opened. Until then I just assumed skydivers learned to live with the bruises. :)

Congrats Diver... Glad to hear you finally got to jump again. I know I've certainly been giving you're old Sabre a workout (or maybe it's been giving me the workout)..... Either way, I'm still lovin' it! I got a pretty good swoop out of her this weekend, right up until I paniked & stuck my left arm out to catch myself.... not to cool when you're still about a foot off the ground. LOL Ahhh well, knew I'd get that new jumpsuit dirty sometime! :)"Peace & Blue Skies!"
