frontloop33 1 #1 February 17, 2015 Hi, I'm wearing contact lenses and have tried several goggles like the ones from Akando and the simple ones from Kroops. As a helmet I wear a Bonehead Guner. My problem is, that whenever the air flows towards my forehead, like when tracking really steeply or in a head down position, wind is blowing somewhere through the goggles and my eyes start to water. This is quite risky, because I can't see anything. Does anybody have a similar experience and maybe some suggestions? I'm thinking about getting a full face helmet, but I really like the wind in my face.... So, if a full face helmet is the only sollution: Should I get a Parasport Z1, a Sky System Oxygn or a Sky System Factory Driver?
phoenixlpr 0 #2 February 17, 2015 QuoteSky System Factory Driver No. You rather skip that. That is not a good helmet in cold weather. You can not open the visor, just rip it off. I had steam and frozen lens issues with Factory Diver. I have been using my without visor for long. Z1 could be a good choice. I like to use mine. Try to try before you buy or order. mcordell 2 #3 February 17, 2015 I really like my z1. I've had it for years and never had an issue with itwww.facebook.com/FlintHillsRigging
DougH 270 #4 February 17, 2015 Did you try Sorz. They have a foam gasket that seals out almost all airflow. I jump with contacts with zero issues."The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

Are these the version of goggles with air vents, or no air vents? I wear contacts, and use Kroops with no vents, and have no problems. Keep the elastic band snug. Actually, the only problem is fogging up in the plane before jump run. Once the door opens and you have air circulation, or outside in the high speed air, no fogging problems at all. riggerrob 643 #6 February 17, 2015 Less expensive try a half-dozen different styles of goggles from several different faces. Each different style of goggle is sized to fit a different face shape. You just need to find the shape of goggles that best fit your forehead.
theplummeter 15 #7 February 18, 2015 I wear contact lenses and tried everything from Liquid Player sunglasses with the goggle insert to Sorz goggles when I jumped an open face. I bought a Cookie G3 and haven't looked back, lost a contact, or had blurred vision since.
Jon26 0 #8 April 20, 2015 G3 sounds like overkill. I wear contacts. I use bolle trackerII glasses. I've also used flex-z minis a lot and they're absolutely fine.
PiLFy 3 #9 April 20, 2015 FWIW, I too jump w/contacts. Never had any issues w/Z-flex goggles. Less than $20, & they can be adjusted to fit nice n tight. No need to switch to a fullface (until ya get kicked in the face, one day ).
spex 0 #10 April 22, 2015 I use Liquid prescription sunglasses with a foam gasket: http://www.liquidpolarized.com/prescriptions.html Contacts just don't work for me for skydiving for exactly the reasons you mention. Liquid makes bomb proof sunglasses with your prescription and a nice foam gasket to seal out the wind. You will see these at dropzones around the world, so ask around if you want first-hand comments.
