dvlax40 3 #1 August 31, 2015 Looking at a raven 1 from 93, no rides. still good for a reserve or is the age an issue at this point?
gowlerk 2,217 #2 August 31, 2015 Age alone is never a factor in judging airworthiness. It is a factor in pricing. The older design may be a factor in judging it's suitability for you.Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free. stayhigh 2 #4 August 31, 2015 How much was brand new Raven back in 90's??? Less than 400 bucks?Bernie Sanders for President 2016
dvlax40 3 #5 August 31, 2015 so is it a bad parachute because it is cheap? ill be loading it close to 1-
stayhigh 2 #6 August 31, 2015 No what i'm saying is that you shouldn't pay more than what it is worth. Parachute isn't some sort of precious metal. Value shouldn't go up. Just because they sell reserve for over 1000 bucks now days, the value of1993 Raven shouldn't have gone up from what it was brand new. So how much was brand new Ravens back in 93? How much is the guy trying to sell it for?Bernie Sanders for President 2016

dvlax40 3 #12 September 3, 2015 So would a 93 racer with a 93 reserve be asking for trouble? low jump numbers and no reserve rides per the packing card.

I don't think anybody here can answer that question but yourself. Check for applicable service bulletins, perform the inspection, and make a decision.=========Shaun ==========
stayhigh 2 #14 September 3, 2015 that all depends on how much $$$ I wouldn't not pay no more than 500 bucks all together, given that it is in good/airworthy condition.Bernie Sanders for President 2016
