iluvjovi 0 #1 May 2, 2005 Hi all, I'm a t-4 complete para and I'm looking for all the information I can find on tandem skydiving and people in my situation. I am new to this and I'm interested in doing this maybe during the summer. Anyone with info., personal experiences, & pictures please feel free to contact me at: bonjovi221999@yahoo.com Thanks! ltdiver 3 #2 May 2, 2005 Not sure where you are located, but here in Southern Calfornia Jim Wallace has taken several paraplegics and quadraplegic men and women for tandems. Here is his web page: http://www.jimwallaceskydiving.com/ Welcome and come enjoy a jump! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

PhreeZone 20 #4 May 2, 2005 In your area you might also want to contact www.skydivetheranch.com or www.ranchskydive.com I know they have some experience taking special situations such as yourself.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
iluvjovi 0 #5 May 2, 2005 Thanks for sending those links. I'm not sure how close Gardiner, NY is to me (in Rochester), but I will check them out! Thanks again.
BillyVance 34 #6 May 3, 2005 Gardiner is just north of New York City some 10 to 15 miles west of the Hudson River.... I think it's near New Paltz. Quite a drive for you, but it is the nearest major DZ with turbine aircraft. There's also Skydive Rochester which is a smaller DZ close to the city, and I would not be surprised if they have had some experience with disabled tandems, being that Rochester has the highest population ratio of deaf to hearing people in the nation... but then that's totally different than dealing with para-plegics... Check USPA's or DropZone.com's DZ list and start asking around... www.uspa.org is a good place to start, but it doesn't list all the DZs out there. AndyMan 7 #7 May 3, 2005 Frontier Skydivers is in a town called Newfane (near lockport), an hour drive to the west of Rochester. It's a great DZ, a small tight-knit group, with a turbine (otter). I know they've done a handful of tandems with parapelgic students. Give them a call. http://www.frontierskydivers.com/ _Am__ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead. TomAiello 26 #9 May 21, 2005 You might also ping Russel Metlitzky (contact via web page here). He's a T3 complete para who is BASE jumping, and would undoubtedly have some good suggestions for you. If you can come up with a good way to do a solo landing, he'd also probably be very interested in that.-- Tom Aiello Tom@SnakeRiverBASE.com SnakeRiverBASE.com
