ryan_d_sucks 0 #3 April 11, 2011 Do you have a fistula or a permacath?
jguy904 0 #4 April 11, 2011 i have a fistula--a permacath would make it impossible to do anything physical like skydive, surf, play tennis (which i do daily). jguy904 0 #6 April 11, 2011 a regular machine is not portable--i have to go to a center--however--there are literally thousands in the us and with advance planning u can go almost anywhere--i have to be hooked up for 3.25 hours 3x's a week and missing a session is VERY bad--so far i've been able to go to 5-6 dz's without any problem although i'm hearing chester, sc may require a 20 mile drive, not the worst, but not the best--you do what ya gotta do or u don't do it! GLIDEANGLE 1 #7 April 12, 2011 20 miles to dialysis is a long ways? Heck, we drive that far to get beer at my DZ! The choices we make have consequences, for us & for others!
