QuotePssst. Israel was only founded in 1947
1948 to be exact

there were a series of riots in the 20's and 30's for example.
in those riots my family was driven out of Hebron (which is now a palestinian city) after living there for centuries.

QuoteI am a true Latin somebody whose ancestors (spoke Latin, ALL OF MY ANCESTORS). .
Using that criterion, almost all of Europe would be home to Latinos. Britain was part of the Roman empire for 300 years, so I'm fairly sure that my ancestors 1600 years ago all spoke Latin too. I'm not too bad at Latin myself, having taken it for 4 years in high school.

QuoteMy opinion The Muslim faith is a breeding ground for terrorism.
No, Poverty and suffering, are the breeding ground for terrorism, not the muslim faith, or any other faith.

I think terrorism breeds poverty (as with the Palestinians).
The highest levels of religious leaders in the Arab world call for terrorist acts (when the western press isn't looking). While it may not be the "faith" itself calling for the violence, they deserve to be recognized for what they advocate.
People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am

Depends on who you think are the highest levels. Jerry Falwell could be considered a high level Christian leader, and he said that the US deserved 9/11 because of its sinful nature. Yes, he retracted it, but it was a damn stupid thing to say.
Consider -- in the Christian world, who is important. Is the Pope important to you? If he is, then is Jerry Falwell, or Billy Graham, or your individual minister? There aren't a lot of high-level authorities in many of the more liberal/mainstream Protestant hierarchies, but do you think that someone who lives 10,000 miles away, and isn't a Christian, would know?
If so, what makes you think that analysts from 10,000 miles away can identify who is a Muslim authority?
There are people who call themselves Christian who don't consider me to be a Christian (although I go to church most Sundays). I have a feeling that there are similar schisms in the Muslim world.

Wahhabism is the official form of Islam in Saudi Arabia.
From the online Newshour (as on the liberal leaning PBS):
ELIZABETH FARNSWORTH: Some books used in schools have specific passages that have been criticized in newspaper articles in the United States. One passage from a high-school book reads, "Muslims will fight the Jews just before the day of judgment and will destroy them until the Jew will hide behind a tree or stone, and the tree and stone will say, 'Muslim, servant of god, here's a Jew behind me-- come, kill him.'"

and whether they beat thier wimmin for farting un public or not is not our business. it is thier culture. of course we feel that type of behavior is not appropriate, hence we don't do it. well, most of us anywhay. so, yes, it is not so simple. nothing is. but there are some fundamental observations that can be made.
and i don't hate no muslims either. i don't hate no christians either, but lemme catch one throwing a rope over a tree and i'll WILL manifest some hate on his ass.
