cyric77 0 #176 April 10, 2004 I only have a couple of simple questions for the critics who disagree with our current foreign policy. What is your plan for dealing with radical islam (because IMO that is who we are fighting), and explain it in detail for me? If it contains better and more sound ideas then our current preemptive foreign policy then I'm on board, and maybe you should be running the country. I ask this because, most of what I have been hearing for the past year is criticism of the Bush administration. There have been no new and better plans presented, from those who criticise the war against the extremist sects throughout the islamic world. I would also be interested in any plan that would not involve any loss of life, if anyone out there knows how this might be accomplished please stand up, because the world needs you. billvon 2,991 #177 April 10, 2004 > What is your plan for dealing with radical islam . .. Same way we deal with the Tamil Tigers, the #1 terrorist organization in the world in terms of number of attacks annually. Same way we dealt with communism. Note that we dealt with a nuclear country bent on our destruction WITHOUT war, and we have managed to escape conflict with the Tamil Tigers. > If it contains better and more sound ideas then our current >preemptive foreign policy then I'm on board, and maybe you should > be running the country. I would be as bad at running the country as you would be designing micropower digital packet radios. Doesn't mean either one of is stupid, just that we are good at different things. >There have been no new and better plans presented, from those who > criticise the war against the extremist sects throughout the islamic >world. I've presented half a dozen at various times. Right wingers condemn them as stupid, then a week later proclaim "no one has any plans, just criticism!" This is about the fifth time this exact conversation has taken place. >I would also be interested in any plan that would not involve any loss > of life . . . It's WAY too late for that. We started this war. The only question now is how many soldiers you are prepared to lose.
Gravitymaster 0 #178 April 11, 2004 And to all you left-wingers out there who are still convinced that Bush "misled" you on the WMD issue, John Kerry has an important message for you: don't vote for him. In a Los Angeles Times article in January 2003, Kerry instructed you: "If you don't believe Saddam Hussein is a threat with nuclear weapons, then you shouldn't vote for me." Quite possibly, it's the best advice ever to come out of John Kerry's mouth.
