happythoughts 0 #176 April 30, 2004 Jewish culture tends to encourage reading at an early age, advanced education, moderation, hard work, family relationships. These things can make you a happy and successful adult. Education and hard work can mean financial success. I respect their cultural values. The assumption that all Jews are rich is a ridiculous stereotype. The assumption that all whites are rich by non-whites is the same form of ignorance. The ethnic Chinese in other parts of Asia are regarded the same way. They tend to be educated, financially successful, and ethno-centric. They are hated also. In the US, Jehovahs Witnesses tend to isolate themselves from the mainstream of society and suffer from it. Isolating your group from the society-in-general will cause hardship for any group in the long run.

jakee 1,558 #180 April 30, 2004 QuoteIt seems that you want to discuss fiction as fact, based on your factless statements about the current jewish state, and its formation. Sad that you note them as been given territory right after they proclaimed independence, and having to wage war, by themselves against 4 powerful armies back in 1948. The given territory was a reference to an earlier post, going back pre ww2. I am aware of the fight for independance (now which country was the first to recognize the irsraeli state?) and funnily enough it doesn't give Israel many extra points in my book. As for current affairs you can't deny that Sharon is a very right wing leader and certainly not shy with military force. Surely his actions can only have strengthened Hamas' supporters?Do you want to have an ideagasm?
juanesky 0 #181 May 1, 2004 It's ok Michele, we know she got the expertise from Hitler While most won't understand the meaning of Heil, she does and exemplary job demonstrating the "vanguard" of the peaceful Euro movement. IMO just going back 50 years back in history, and then trying to present false statements as facts borders on being imbeciles.....IMO."According to some of the conservatives here, it sounds like it's fine to beat your wide - as long as she had it coming." -Billvon

Make up your mind and decide that if it was given or not. Just don't state the facts on "your" book as given. Just remember, it was YOUR country that left things to become messy.....FYI. Pretty much like in India and Pakistan...Oh wait, that must be Bush's mistake too. If you can go to the roots then don't believe for an instant that Cancer can be cured with a band aid. The problem is Extremist islamics who are willing to do whatever is necessary to make this world go back in time 2000 years. If you think you want to make peace with them, pack up and move to your place of choice, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, et any arab country which is ruled by islam, and don't forget the women in your family."According to some of the conservatives here, it sounds like it's fine to beat your wide - as long as she had it coming." -Billvon

rickjump1 0 #186 May 1, 2004 A lot of schools here in the US are so busy trying to catch up with science and math, they are leaving out history. Some of these kids don't know who fought in WWII. We are raising a generation without any knowledge of government or history, and it will be worse if we don't insist on English as our national language.Do your part for global warming: ban beans and hold all popcorn farts. LOL...well, see, I was confused as well. Then I realized she was being Eurocentric, and insinuating that I'm stupid and fat, like "all" Americans are, and that I have no idea about history, or what I'm talking about. Don't worry, RR, it's all good. Like always happens, when you can't attack the message, you attack the messenger. Sigh...oh well. And yeah, Kennedy, I can't stand the ADL at all...but you're right in your observations... TomAiello 26 #188 May 2, 2004 Not responding to Michele, just everyone in general... OK, let's try to keep this on issues, not people. There's some not so nice name calling in this thread, much of it racially slanted. I've had to edit or remove posts three times. Let's try to cool it, ok? Thanks.-- Tom Aiello Tom@SnakeRiverBASE.com SnakeRiverBASE.com
