jamesproducer 0 #1 December 28, 2015 Hello all, I'm working on a speed skydiving segment for a television show. I've been told that there exists equipment that can be worn by the skydiver that relays the jump's information (rate of descent, altitude, etc.) in real time to the ground crew below. I however, have not been told the name/brand/source of said equipment. Does anybody know of where I can find this? Any leads would be greatly appreciated! Thank you! peter.draper 0 #2 December 29, 2015 a good place to start would be Garmin, I think. I use the Garmin Virb camera that records with all the GPS info embedded. Altitude, coordinates etc. etc. I'm pretty sure it could be transmitted (not sure exactly how) but worth checking with them.......
Beatnik 2 #3 December 30, 2015 Check with the guys here: https://parachutemobile.wordpress.com They use some telemetry equipment that does what you are asking for. They would be able to put you in the right direction.
