Perky77 0 #1 April 22, 2004 a son of bitch, mother f$#%er, asshole, arrogant f'in bastard, f'in prick, mother f'n rude son of a mother f'in......i got lost after that but he did continue and then told me he was going to kick my ass, I almost laughed in his face but I was having to maintain professionality infront of employees of my client. You got love when people blame you for firing them for blatently not doing their job and completly disrespecting you as their client / boss and telling you they are not going to do things. If anyone has a good recomendations for managing personality differences books or speakers I would be interested in having them passed on to me. "Sacrifice is a part of life. It is supposed to be. TheAnvil 0 #4 April 22, 2004 I normally document poor performance as things go along, then fire as a last resort unless it's something so drastic that firing is warranted. When situations like the one you described occur, I simply smile and after his/her rant, give them a specific amount out time to vacate the premises. Now if you want to talk about tough, try telling a Japanese contractor his services are no longer required when he's already started the job (and is so behind sked it's not even funny) - rare, but it happened to me over in Japan once. UNREAL! Haven't read anything recently on that. I DO always recommend documenting poor performance if you have a hunch a firing might be necessary.
