Glock does as well as the H&K, but costs much less. Its just as reliable, its just as accurate, the only downside is safety/decocking lever on the H&K, I really like that. That is, even though it leaves the H&K with a hammer and an extra lever to get snaged on something while trying to draw from a concealed rig. The tactical USPs are very nice, especially if you have a Class III and something to screw onto that threaded barrel.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." airtwardo 7 #29 May 5, 2004 QuoteI can tell you haven't seen the new CMP (former DCM) lately. The prices are up to $400.00 and more. *** You're right...I got mine about ten years ago. ...And they say guns aren't an investment! 400% in 10 years! Remember when the DCM cut loose a bunch of M1 Carbines? 20 bucks a piece! I saw a 'real' paratrooper stock at the Houston gun show last year going for 500.00, (just the stock!) ~ If you choke a Smurf, what color does it turn? ~

My Glock is a 27 (.40cal) and my USP is also .40cal. They are very different guns (one subcompact and one full sized) so a comparison is not very fair -- apples and oranges. But I think that the action of the USP feels like a well-oiled file cabinet drawer sliding rapidly open and closed. I love it. It's like raspy silk. And that thing could repeatedly hit a paper plate on the berm of the outdoor range I used to go to, which was 100 yards away (and I'm only an average shooter). I can heartily recommend either make. --Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
