" Of course I do, the Turtle is named Great A'Tuin, which carries four elephants on its back, which in turn support the disc that is called the Discworld. Its a concept touched on in Steven Hawkings "A brief History of Time" This is where the Nacmacfeegle (the Wee Free Men)live and thrive. There's lots of books out there written by the prophet Terry Pratchett, so it must be true. Check them out sometime and have a giggle, my favourites are those concerning the Guards, keepers of peace in the great city of Ankh Morpork. As with many things related to the disc, the more people believe it, the more powerful the imaginary world becomes, kinda like any religion. Edit to add after a period of chuckling...the whole site is tongue in cheek, for example their Existential negation program.... "This campaign focuses on the consensus-reality definition of existence and existential status. This definition is challenged by affixing to various objects which are popularly believed to exist labels which read "WARNING: THIS OBJECT DOES NOT EXIST". But then all religion's claim to "know" everyone else is wrong... but since most claim thier god is the only god someone must be wrong somewhere... Just as Adams parodies futuristic style Scifi, Pratchett echoes fantasy style Scifi, with a wry wink. He's done some nice kids (or young at heart adults)books too, and one which is a skit on the Omen called Good Omens. Kinda like the Ig Noble Prize and the Annals of Improbable Research where a third of the pubs are real, a third are fake, and a third of the readers can't tell the difference.
