Does posting it twice make it come true?

There's no question that Illinois has a waiting period. 24 hours for a rifle, after getting the FOID, which apparently can take up to 30 days. This waiting period dates back well before the movie, so pray tell us how he managed to do it?

Quoting a bank's ad is not proof by ommision.

Having just watched the movie (and not even really being sure of the relevancy of this statement) the bank is also a licensed gun dealer. They also sell guns WITHOUT banking.

So **** you for insinuating that my explanation is a lie.

You know, I took the time to write out what I did mean, to counter whatsisname's accusation that I was just being out-and-out sexist and implying that I thought women couldn't be intellgent and articulate, and now you're in essence calling me a LIAR, and saying that you don't believe what I articulated to be my meaning in the prior post.

So **** you for insinuating that my explanation is a lie. I don't owe an apology, since my initial statement contained no insult in the first place.

Peej, I didn't say it was a lie. I think you truly believe what you're saying. I disagreed with you. If you don't understand the difference, too bad for you. Oh well. I suppose you don't like that I was being disputatious and confrontational.

The man made a post. He was attacked for it. He clarified. Someone called him a liar. You must be something special that you know what he was thinking better than he does.

Oh, and if you saw the original pre-edit, I have one more thing to say to you.

"the dean of students virtually guaranteed that everyone in the school saw "The Life of Brian" by telling us to not see it"

Totally off topic, so mucho apologies. But I'm fascinated to know why the dean, Billvon, told everyone not to watch Life of Brian?

Because it's vaugely anti-Christian. It is about someone (Brian) who is confused with Christ, but goes around saying things like "Why can't you people all think for yourselves? Why do you have to follow someone all the time?"

the funny thing about bfc is that it really isn't anti-gun. MM has said that himself in interviews, and even one of the anti-MM sites you posted said that. I am "pro-gun"...

BWAHAHAHAAHAA!
YES, so have AL GORE, JOHN KERRY, BILL CLINTON, FRANK LAUTENBERG, and a host of other politicians, journalists, and celebrities -- none of whom have the balls to actually come out and state their true intentions with regard to guns, gun rights, gun ownership, and gun control.

They're dumb: they're just not dumb enough to come right out and say, "I want to take away the right to keep and bear arms." That would galvanize their opposition in a way that hedging their language, and going on the occasional photo-op "duck hunt" avoids them doing.

Dude- WTF?!?!?!?! So what, are you saying that i'm not what i say I am?? Now you're comparing me with Gore, clinton and kerry, and when you don't even know where I stand on the subject?? what gives?? Do you purposefully try to piss people off???

Do you think that just b/c I enjoyed the movie it means I can't be pro-gun! And no, I'm not a democrat. (i'm not a republican either- i happen to like the libertarians.)
I think everyone should be free to own as many as they want - but i think ppl should be responsible with them, and i think that was one of the things BFC was pointing out....
but i guess you wouldnt know that b/c it sounds like you haven't even seen the movie...

Yes, I've seen it many times, that's why I couldn't figure out why someone would ban it. Its Monty Python, after all. :)

Saying that Michael Moore hates America doesn't make much sense to me.

I think Michael Moore loves his country.

He tries to show there's something wrong with America. First step to fix something is to see if it's broken.

Some of you think that there's nothing wrong with the land of the free, but if you'd really look, you'd see.

There's a reason we Europeans see average American like this:

michael moore is an idiot who uses the freedom that is provided by his country to make sure that sound-thinking people know that he is an idiot.

What?

You weren't joking?

If that's the way "average" Finnish/Europeans see Americans, I'd suggest that you start reading something other than fiction and propaganda, and stop watching Michael Moore, King of Self Promotion and Mockumentaries.

And to think that Europeans have this idea that americans don't care how they're perceived throughout the world.

I think they'd also have to stop reading the news, most Hollywood products and reports from people like the NEJM. After all, we do have more guns than your average european country, and we are leading the world in obesity.

Bill, if that's an honest reporting of how "europeans" see us (and I don't think it is...), then yes, of course I don't care how they think of us. If someone honestly thinks that is the average american, then there is not a damned thing I can do to change their mind.

I mean, really, Bill.
