riggerrob 643 #1 January 27, 2016 Does anyone have any old tandem drogues, d-bags, risers etc. that are faded, frayed and filthy and retiring this winter? The older the better. The dirtier the better. The worse the fraying the better. Would you like to donate them to assist young riggers in learning their trade? Please keep me in mind when you clean out your loft this spring.
hackish 8 #2 January 28, 2016 I have offered a bunch of our worn out drogues to Frankais. Do you need some too? I think a sample of lines would be useful too. I can try to get some good and less good and set them aside next reline I do. -Michael
riggerrob 643 #3 January 28, 2016 Great idea Hackish, To save shipping, you might hand those line samples, drogues, etc. to a B.C. rep. who is attending the CSPA Symposium at the end of February.

I'll be there and could bring them back to Victoria if you don't find someone from the lower mainland to bring them back."It's amazing what you can learn while you're not talking." - Skydivesg

hackish 8 #7 February 1, 2016 I can bring a drogue and a bridle. Both show off wear in the most common places. Bridle is worn where the disc attached. Drogue is all worn on the kevlar attachment points. Maybe other riggers have some other good examples to provide? -Michael
