For crying out loud you'd think GWB would have its name emblazoned on his worst nigtmares yet last night he couldn't remember what the damn place was even called. Shows how much he gives a damn!

You know enough is enough, well I guess you don't know. You fucking people are just unreal, your ripping on a man for a speech slur, you ever really think how low that is? Why don't you go tease people with eye glasses, Better yet why don't you go trip up a cripple, That would be some easy prey for you, You could go steal some hearing aid's that would be the best, You could feel good about yourself for having better hearing then them and then they could not hear the immature inconsiderate and down right fucking rude comments.
I have a speech problem, tease me about it and we will see who has the real problem.

Bollocks. He hasn't got a speach impediment he just doesn't know how to pronounce Abu Ghraib. You'd have thought he'd make an effort. Is it a stutter? No. Is he Dysphagic? No. Speach impediment my arse!

It sends a message to the Arab world that even after the torture that was perpertrated there which even led to the death of at least one inmate, sanctioned by Rummy himself the president of the US couldn't be bothered to even get the name of the place right. Could be construde as yet another insult to Arab pride.

This is a pretty bigotted comment. You're implying that Arabs are such fucking idiots that they'll be insulted because a place name was mispronounced. I don't think the majority of Iraqi Arabs will be insulted by the man who threw out a mass murderer. If other Arabs are insulted, I'm sure they had problems with GWB to begin with.

George Bush the first made a point of mispronouncing Saddam Hussein's name to show a deliberate lack of respect.

Why wouldn't his son't not bothering to learn the pronunciation show at least that he doesn't really care that much? He spent quite awhile practicing the speech, according to the news.

I'd make sure my spelling was correct before blasting someone else for mispronouncing something.

Speech not speach.
Nightmare not nigtmare.

What kind of message are YOU sending?

Taking the context into consideration, his message (and its spelling) matters much less than GWB's. I'm pretty sure Skyrad is neither the most powerful man in the world nor do the posts in Speaker's Corner have the potential for as big an influence as public speeches of presidents and other representatives of any country.

The difference being that Skyrad is not the President of the United States and speaking for 290 odd million people in a sensitive time of war with another country...

But then GWB didn't start a thread solely to dis Skyrad, did he? No. It was the other way around. Skyrad started the thread with the sole intention of dissing Bush. He set himself up for the scrutiny.

Well, alrighty then. That certainly excuses it. From now on it's OK to criticize someone elses errors while making a similar one and then justify it by claiming to be "nobody" as an excuse. I'm pretty sure Skyrad wouldn't agree with you.
