chuteless 1 #3 May 25, 2004 I wouldnt be the least surprised if the whole handover blows up in their political face, and the USA and Britain are left holding the Iraqi bag for some time to come. The fact that the armed forces of the USA and Britain are setting their own course during their very prolonged stay in Iraq, is just a pretty face on a disaster. Call it the world of political make believe. The new Iraqi government will do as they are told to do by the USA (Britain) and thats who will direct the flow of oil and the Iraqi economy. "Moving towards"; I said; as in "Getting friendlier with one another and starting to recognize that a bunch of loosely organized indepentent states may not be such a great thing on the world stage after all" kind of way. And as for the nukes; well, they are there somewhere... I guess the point I was trying to make was that saying "WHO GIVES A FUCK WHAT RUSSIA THINKS" might not be such a great idea. Christ, we can't even do a decent job of occupying a small backwards country in the Middle East at this point. I am sure that is a point not lost on military strategists of other countries.
