gjhdiver 0 #2 July 1, 2004 QuoteIf Hillary decided to run "Under" sKerry in this election? Er, I don't understand the question. Do you mean on an independant ticket, or as a vice presidential choice for Kerry ? I don't see either as a possibilty if that's what you mean.
turtlespeed 221 #3 July 1, 2004 Last interview I could stomache listening to she said she would not run for any whitehouse office - making it understood that she would not be seeking the VP or Pres position.I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun
happythoughts 0 #4 July 1, 2004 Maybe she will appear wearing the gingham dress and talk about her fav cookie recipe again. I love when she gives out cooking tips. That was about a month before election time, so the timing is good for it again. She looked just like 'Becca comin' from down by the crick. The downhome gal look. Then, after the election, she changed to the Janet Reno school of fashion design.

gjhdiver 0 #6 July 1, 2004 QuoteLast interview I could stomache listening to she said she would not run for any whitehouse office - making it understood that she would not be seeking the VP or Pres position. Ahh I see. Standard boilerplate political reply when asked about these things. You'll see every pol from either side do this. Ones that are running for the party's nomination for president say they would never accept a VP position, and senators say it because they don't want to spoil their chances of re-election should a job offer not materialise. Basically, they are all as honest as their options. If the job gets offered, then don't be surprised to see a change. Now on another note, whilst dear old Hillary seems to provoke the same emotions as her husband in the staunch conervative base, she's actually viewed very favorably amongst Democrats (obviously) and independant swing voters, and polls consistently highly amongst them. She probably has the best chance of becoming the first first female nominee for president, and very possibly the first female president. Remember that by the time that she could conceivably run, her husbands presidency will be probably 12 or more years in the past, and in all probability viewed with some nostalgia. She'll never be palatable to conservatives, but I doubt that that's a section of the electorate that she cares about attracting.

Pursue CT for telling dirty jokes because he was a political conservative? That would be wrong. I mean, a lib would be against such an investigation. They have suffered that sort of thing from the "vast right-wing conspiracy" ever since the Berlin Wall came down. I'm sure their ethics would prevent it. TheAnvil 0 #19 July 1, 2004 No Manuel Noriega was the dictator of Panama. Clintonista is a take-off of the evil communist Sandinista regime of Nicaragua during the '80's. Your man sKerry had some interesting things to say about them during the time period. Vinny the Anvil Post Traumatic Didn't Make The Lakers Syndrome is REAL JACKASS POWER!!!!!! PhillyKev 0 #20 July 1, 2004 Manuel Noriega is who was hired by the US gov't and paid to train the Contras in an effort to restore the Somoza's to power You know, the guy's who were found to be in violation of UN security council resolutions for hiring Argentinian death squads to kill dissenters. Seems to me, using today's standard, that should be justification for us to invade and overthrow. But instead, we trained people to overthrow who had already done that. TheAnvil 0 #21 July 1, 2004 Panama's president was training Contra rebels? Personally? Odd - he looks rather old for such things. I'll never understand your fascination with the cookie cutter foreign policy paradigm. You need to read up on this subject and get into your psyche that the cookie cutter foreign policy paradigm doesn't even hold up in academia, much less real-world application. Your inferred support of the Sandinistas is only to be expected, however. They were communists - many American democrats are socialists at heart who want communism so badly they can taste it.lVinny the Anvil Post Traumatic Didn't Make The Lakers Syndrome is REAL JACKASS POWER!!!!!! PhillyKev 0 #22 July 1, 2004 Please extol us on the virtues of the Somoza regime that warranted out support. Talk about cookie cutter. Communism bad, fascist dictator good. Repeat as desired. EDIT: Forgot the most important part of the recipe. Bake in secret violating numerous acts of congress. Sprinkle with drug smuggling and weapons sales to Iran. Note - I'm not defending Hillary Clinton in any way, shape or form. Don't know enough about her, or care enough since she's not from my district and if did run for President, based on what I know about her now, wouldn't support her. Just trying to figure out how one of the biggest scandals of the Reagan years is being associated with her.

The US also educates many military leaders at a lower level in small squad tactics, etc. The belief is that it is better to educate leaders and establish relationships with their governments.
