Why Vote for Kerry?

Whoops...my bad. Wasn't knowingly lying. I forgot that you had responded to it.

That was a pretty vehement "forgetting."
He posted that days ago, if I recall.

If you were so ardently awaiting his response, as you in this thread indicate, how the hell did you miss it?

Nice to offer a pseudo-apology (the word "apologize" does not appear) -- sort of like printing a big lie in a newspaper article read by hundreds of thousands, and then printing your retraction in a 1x1 box that maybe fifty people will even see.

You're right. I admit it. I deliberately lied about something that is so easily and obviously proven to a lie because I thought you guys were a bunch of idiots and wouldn't notice. :S

As far as an apology. I would if he just pointed out my mistake. But because of his accusations of deliberately lying, and yours as well, I don't think he deserves one. I admitted my mistake, believe what you want.

And specifically I asked "What besides the war on terror has he done for this country?"

All Clinton would have done was launch a couple of cruise missiles and worried about what our friends in Europe would think.

Yes, Clinton, the absentee candidate for the 2004 election. He gets brought up so much regarding the current race I think he might actually win it.

I think you're conveniently ignoring the fact that Bill Clinton is generally to the right of most Democratic foreign policymakers and, therefore, in my opinion John Kerry would do only as much, if not much less, than Clinton would have. Democrats are pussies when it comes to foreign policy and the use of military force.

We did a good job in Afghanistan and are on our way in Iraq. Sure it's messy, but IMHO the alternatives are worse.

We did shit in Afghanistan. We sent less troops to Afghanistan, the size of California, then there are cops in New York City. The Taliban has been regrouping, AQ is just as active as it's always been, but on the plus side we rejuvenated their opium trade. As far as Iraq is concerneed, it's too early to tell, but hopefully the puppets we installed as their temporary gov't aren't assassinated before they have free elections.

What alternatives was it better than? I never heard of any alternatives besides war ever being considered.

Reread your current events. We have replaced an out of control theocracy with a fledgling democracy. Perhaps you would have prefered that the Taliban have remained in power to supply a safe haven for AQ? As far as the Taliban, they are not "regrouping." They've been destroyed as a military and political force and are nothing more than a bunch of bandits. AQ rejuvenated? Most of their cadre of operators are now in Gitmo. The new AQ is made up of lower level hacks who are trying to resurrect AQ. Oh, by the way, I guess your right, the Taliban did outlaw opium, so I guess we should have left them and all the terrorist training camps alone. Alternatives to war????? We did have an alternative to war. Remember we didn't go after AQ or bin Laden when we had the chance. Why? Because we didn't have legal probable cause to pursue a criminal case. What did that get us? 3,000 fucking dead people, including some of my friends! This isn't the 60's. We don't have the luxury of "giving peace a chance." Sit back and do nothing, and they'll put a bomb in downtown Philly. How would you feel then when your friends die?!?

You know if a Democrat had the balls to do what GWB did, you'd love it.

The company I worked for on 9/11 had two offices. One here, one on the 102 floor of tower 2. Two of my friends were in that office. One of them, I know for a fact, would be opposed to the war in Iraq. Her sister is.

Basing decisions about war and foreign policy on emotion is a mistake.

That I would agree with. Never the less, it doesn't change the fact that we pursued terrorism as a law enforcement problem and have seen that policy fail miserably. On the other hand, military intervention has seriously damaged AQ and has removed 2 national regimes which supplied support to terrorist operations. War sucks, but sometimes there is no other choice. Survival. Kill or be killed.

Lying sack of shit.

I have to stop laughing hysterically everytime I see you write stuff like hits, because my staff is starting to wonder.......but it is so funny after all your posts from your high horse regarding profanity and juvenile comments the other day.

You make fun of Kerry for his flip flops, you seem to do one almost hourly....
