Marriage was initially a religious event. The rules involved were not explicit laws in most cases, but social agreements.
Now, most of the rules associated with marriage are judicial and very little religious rules. Tax laws, property rights, child support, pension splits, and medical waivers.
There seems to be little motivation to stay married. It some cases, the reverse is true. From a certain viewpoint, all the benefits come from the divorce.
The current set of legal definitions have destroyed it as an institution that builds society. We need some new institutions.

Naah, we need more two-day Britney Spears marriages! Preferably with the woman getting pregnant during the marriage. There are tabloid reporters who have to make a living too, you know. And what will become of paparazzi photographers to document such good examples of traditional heterosexual marriages?

Hey, the bar is set now for the record for a gay marraige. Maybe some other gay couple will try and beat it before the end of the year.

If the woman chooses to get pregnant, she can.
The woman has the right to terminate it.
If she does not terminate it, the man must provide support for it.
If the woman chooses, she may have extramarital affairs. If the man wishes to discuss this, see the section on divorce.
The woman makes all decisions. For other options, see divorce.
Divorce -
The woman has the house and the contents and a vehicle until the children are 18.
All other assets (
) are divided in half (except for the womans).
The man must provide support for everyone but himself by law.
All municipal court proceedings will be enforced by agencies of local and federal level.
Seems like there would be a bigger rush to sign up.
