However, I do think that there are some rising stars in the Democrat party -- they just happen to be moderates and when it comes to party platform and such it is ddifficult for them to get that national recognition that is needed. This needs to change -- just a matter of when. A few have been spotlighted at the convention == Obama seems to have some umifying things to say -- and also made comments similar to what Bill Cosby said about African Americans needing to do better. Also, John Edwards, while I do not agree with his politics, is someone who has drive, leadership, and the smarts. I think that we will see the rise of more moderates in the Democrat party that will slowly gain more strength -- unions are losing their hold and trial lawyers know that they may have to take some limits or it will bankrupt our country. This heartens me because the two party system does NOT work for me -- and I think that many Americans probably feel the same way and are dissillusioned by it.
