Funny in an ironic sort of way

So you think that people who care about the ecology of the planet are fucked up?

I don't know how you got that impression. I think it is quite ironic and funny.

They should have had a double hull, just like greenpeacers say the oil tankers should have! ;)
People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am

I don't see any thing even close to the Exxon Valdeise. So you think that people who care about the ecology of the planet are fucked up? What planet are you from? the same one as Ron?

That's not the point.

The point is that it's an eco-tourism bout that polluted the environment.

Quite fine irony.

.

A bit like the two seals or penguins or whatever that got eaten by an orca after they were cleaned up after an oil spill at the cost of $20000. (urban myth or not, it's still ironic)

Try Decaf.

You see the funny/ironic thing was that its was an ECOLOGY tour boat that had the spill....

The spill in itself is not funny, not in the least. But since it was a group of tree huggers it becomes ironic, and therefore funny.

Geez Im serious about the decaf.

It's pretty common for protestors boats to be trailing oil and fuel in a nice shiny slick as they go and harass the subs and ships. I've seen it quite often. Usually these poorly maintained ships are much worse than the groups they harass. Hell, they throw red paint on transport railcars, yeah, paint on the ground is a great idea.

Yup. Falls in the same general category as killing 10,000 Iraqis to liberate the people of Iraq.

Try to take a break and not direct EVERYTHING to how much you hate Bush.

I think you're missing his analogy that they are claiming to be trying to do something good while actually doing harm in the process. Seems applicable and an astute observation.

I think you and he are so blinded by your hate that you can't see anything except how you can spin it to spit out your message of hate.

In the long haul...A free Iraq WILL be good. Of course you will deny that since it does not fit into you small scope of life.

Talk about needing decaf.

"In the long haul...A free Iraq WILL be good."

Yep, I agree with that. Unfortunately in trying to achieve that lots of innocent people are killed.

In the long haul...A cleaner environment WILL be good. Unfortunately, in trying to achieve that, a boat leaked some oil.

It's all about the irony Ron.

Really? I don't pop on your "My dog ate my shoe" posts and say that its cause you are a liberal wacko.

But you pop any ANY post and turn it into a "Bush Bash"

Sad really, I expect more from you, not PK, but you.

Eco-tourism promotes a cleaner environement.

Where did I bash Bush, anyway? All I said was that John's analogy seemed apt. He could have just as easily said "to make an omelet, you have to break some eggs" and it would have been just as fitting. Relax, Ron. It's not always about Bush.
