tunaplanet 0 #8 August 3, 2004 It's ok, click the link. It's video, so you can follow it real easy. And unlike Michael Moron's fictional piece, this is all factual clips. What was that part about Kerry admitting he felt there was WMDs in Iraq? Enjoy. Forty-two

tunaplanet 0 #10 August 3, 2004 I think it's great to have a video that shows in black and white all of his lies and flip flops. Thanks again. Notice you don't see too many liberals in here. Hard to drfend Kerrys own words. Forty-two
Cajundude 0 #11 August 3, 2004 Wow, I would have expected much more of a rant from the other side but it is hard to defend this boob now isn't it?
tunaplanet 0 #12 August 3, 2004 It sure is. The man is a liar and not trustworthy whatsoever. This country will reach an all-time low if they elect this flip-flopper to the office. I'm actually not that worried. Despite what the polls say, I don't see Bush losing this. In the end, people will see right through Flipper. And speaking of polls, man, Kerry really didn't get the bounce he was expecting. In fact most polls show him getting no bounce whatsoever. This is exactly why the democrats have been doing their best to keep this moron from speaking. Everytime he does he loses more votes. Forty-two
PhillyKev 0 #13 August 3, 2004 All of the analysis I've read on it concerning the usual democratic bounce points out that typically, the bounce comes when the democrat is trailing by 10-15 points, and they get bumped up a few above the republican. Kerry was already there, so most of the analysts on both sides didn't expect much of one.
tunaplanet 0 #14 August 3, 2004 Never heard that theory. The democratic camp is nervous, more so than ever. Most conventions will net the candidate a decent rise in the polls. His was so marginal it's not funny. Forty-two
billvon 2,991 #15 August 3, 2004 >The democratic camp is nervous, more so than ever. ?? The democrats were way behind in 1992; Bush I was far ahead of Clinton in the polls going into the primary. Now most polls show Bush and Kerry about even. Why would they be more nervous now?
tunaplanet 0 #16 August 3, 2004 QuoteWhy would they be more nervous now? Because they received no bounce after his speech during the convention. Parties always get a decent bounce. Kerry's was haedly noticable. Forty-two
billvon 2,991 #17 August 3, 2004 >Because they received no bounce after his speech during the convention. Hmm. From http://www.electoral-vote.com/: ----------------------------------------------------------------- We now know whether there was a post-convention bounce for Kerry. Answer: there was. Of course, there always is, and it evens up after the other convention, but for the moment, Kerry has received a boost. He is now ahead in the electoral college 328 to 210, with all 50 states and D.C. reporting for duty (we had two ties until today). The Wall Street Journal's estimate using a different methodology is 318 to 220. Close enough for government work. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Sounds like no reason for nervousness. The post-convention bounce will likely be followed by a GOP bounce after _their_ convention, which should tie things up again. If anything, the GOP has to be shitting bricks; Bush HAS to take Florida to win again, and I suspect shenanigans will not be tolerated there this year. And right now it's going for Kerry. tunaplanet 0 #18 August 3, 2004 Spin it how you like. Bottom line is almost every poll shows Kerry with no bounce from the convention and almost a dead heat in the elections. Forty-two
billvon 2,991 #19 August 3, 2004 > . . . and almost a dead heat in the elections. If we had a democratically elected president that might matter. We don't; currently Kerry is leading Bush 328 to 210 electoral votes. Which has to have some GOPers pretty worried (the smart ones, at least.)
tunaplanet 0 #20 August 3, 2004 Your figures are way off from the ones being presented by most polling data. billvon 2,991 #21 August 3, 2004 > Your figures are way off from the ones being presented by most polling data. Do you have a source that shows compiled electoral vote data? (Note that this is not the same as popular polls.)

Kerry was already there, so most of the analysts on both sides didn't expect much of one. I read this claim, and it's as fishy as most spin control. You need only look back to the 1988 year to see it as false. Dukakis got a huge bump, enough so that the party was a bit arrogant during the convention with a lot of silver spoon remarks at Bush's expense. Wasn't even close at the end. The only plausible story was that Edwards had already been named, so any bonus from his selection was already in the game. Bush is likely to get a decent jump as the RNC brings their voters back, so not having a lead now isn't what Kerry needs.
kallend 2,027 #23 August 3, 2004 I just love this flip flop: "The most important thing is for us to find Osama bin Laden. It is our number one priority and we will not rest until we find him." - G.W. Bush, 9/13/01 FLIP "I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority. I am truly not that concerned about him." - G.W. Bush, 3/13/02 FLOP... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.
Frenchy68 0 #24 August 3, 2004 Hopefully, Bush will get enough of a bounce after the RNC that we'll read about him in the "incident" section... tunaplanet 0 #25 August 3, 2004 QuoteKerry is leading Bush 328 to 210 electoral votes. According to one poll. I wasn't even going to respond yto your "data" because all of us partial-minded people know that you can find any poll numbers you want if you look hard/lomg enough. Probably one of the more respected polls has been Rasmussen. Check them out. They have it..... Kerry - 227 Bush - 197 Toss up - 114 Also keep in mind that The RNC is about to roll out. Bush now has the chance to boost his numbers (something Kerry couldn't do). We can throw back a kajillion websites all day long. What does it prove? It proves that there are millions of websites out there that can prove anyones point. Everyone is biased for the most part. Forty-two
