Bush is kickin' some ass right now

Recommended Posts

It's about 80% of the stump speech he's been using for the last several weeks. Not a whole lot of new material. Same deal with Cheney's speech last night. The speeches are well tuned, but I can't really agree that he's kickin' ass.

I mean, he hasn't changed my mind yet.

BTW, yet -another- protester on the floor? Dont' they screen these people? Holy cow.

Put a little love in your heart?!? (balloon drop music after GWB's speech)

This coming from the folks that just had a 4 day Kerry bashfest? One of the most negative conventions -- ever?

Bashing? No, quoting...there is a difference. They are simply quoting his own words and examining his own record. And what was the Democratic Convention? That wasn't a love fest to be sure.

Hey, Chris Matthews and company said it was a home run, A+. I'm surprised they thought so well of it. I liked it, but then again, I like GW.

That is a really good question. All the protestors caught on the floor so far have been plants, meaning they have shown up, gotten credentials and training. It turns out they are Democratics. But my serious question is, how many Republican protestors were removed from the DNC? I can't recall any, but I wasn't paying as close attention.

I would like to personally thank the Democratic Extremist Idiots who attempted to tarnish the RNC.

They, along with the rest of the Democratic Extremist Idiots plaguing NYC and elsewhere, have probably gone a long way towards swaying Ma & Pa Traditional Democrat away from their party. It might be just the thing to seal it up for Bush.

Thanks, and keep up the good work! :)

You can examine all of the speeches at the Democratic convention and all put together they didn't come anywhere near what was said on even the first night of this one just by Rudy Giuliani.

Did you even hear Zell Miller's speech?

i have to say, even though i dont agree with Bush, that the protestors were kind of embarrassing. i mean have a little respect for the President of our country, whether you agree with him or not.

organizing outdoors is one thing, but have some class. you didnt see any republicans barging in during Kerry's speech. i think ol' W handled himself well though, and that speech was one of the best ive heard from him.

Ya know, I'm not really concerned with the concept of protesters. Yeah, not exactly classy, but really I don't care one way or the other.

What I -do- care about is the lack of security. They could have just as easily been terrorists, which, considering that GWB makes such a big point of us being safer really doesn't wash too well.

I thought the speech was well written and perfectly delivered. Just what was needed to tie up what I consider a successful convention.

As of 3pm today, Rasmussen has Bush at 49% and Kerry at 45%. We'll see what the next few days bring.

i cant really comment on that, because i have NO idea what one has to go through to get in those doors. it is kind of scary, though, if you think about it - and i hadn't until you said it. actually, i was pretty impressed with how quickly security got the protestors out of there!

then again, im pretty skeptical of how capable we really are of keeping the bad guys away.

Yes I did. He's a Democratic, as you well know. Many of the other dems had similar speeches, but I grant you that Zell was mad, and he looked mad. Frankly, he said a lot of things the the Regan Demoncratics love...and just moved their votes to Bush.

I did read many of the speeches and I disagree with the premise they didn't come near what Rudy said. The Dems attacked continously. The RNC did attack as well, but it was on Kerry's own words and record.

Watch for the bump...should have some data on that in the next few days.

Hey, different question...John Edwards mentioned Kerry carrying around shrapnel in the response to Bush's speech (yet, another first in convention history). How will Kerry answer that? He never took subcutaneous shrapnel! LMAO! They are IMPLODING. Fun to watch.

Are you sure?

Be careful now. Don't just repeat what you've heard some right-wing extremist nut-jobs say.

On that link are PDFs that show he did receive shrapnel wounds and his current doctor says he still has it in his thigh.

I would have to agree, and I am not even voting for him.

On the other hand, the Kerry "rebuttal" speech was a DISASTER; who in the world thought it would be a good idea to follow a speech that had been MONTHS in the making with a cobbled together rebuttal written in an hour and read off of note cards?

Jesus, we Dems have money, can we afford a decent strategist who would raise their hand and say "Uh, that is not a great idea"...?

Anybody can get a floor pass if they have a political connection. Nobody except the Secret Service or law enforcement is getting a weapon into MSG.The concept that the floor demonstrators were a security concern is pretty lame. Embarrassing? Yes. A safety risk? I don't think so.

Wow I didn't know they held the election last night and that GWB won. I must be out to lunch (or more importantly I was off playing sports with friends instead of sitting at home watching TV).

Ever wonder why sporting events are actually played? They play the games, because sometimes the person and/or teams which are deemed as the favorite going into the games don't win. GWB may indeed win the election. But that night is two months out and to proclaim GWB the winner because you liked what he said last night is a joke.

Rigghhhhhttt! Like when they kept saying "Kerry thinks the heart and sould of America is in Hollywood." When what Kerry actually was talking about was that the songs of some musicians portray what represents the heart and sould of America.

No, that's not bashing. That sure is a direct quote.

Or how about when they kept saying that Kerry wants to treat the terrorists with compassion. When what he said was that the war on terror should be compassionate as it effects innocents and bystanders.
