Jib 0 #1 September 11, 2004 So, Kerry's going to cut the paperwork which he says takes up 25% of the costs of healthcare and reduce costs more than 25%? How? Socialism? The "paperwork" in large part consists of standardized HCFA forms using standardized five digit procedural codes. Gonna replace it with what? Where was this grandiose idea when Kerry was supposed to be a SENATOR introducing such legislation? Oh yeah, AWOL! He wants to give more privacy. Been to the doctor lately; HIPPA is a nightmare of paperwork. I call bullshit! The only way he can do it is by the hinted tax cuts. Wanna see a deficit? Give everyone back $1k per year!! -------------------------------------------------- the depth of his depravity sickens me. -- Jerry Falwell, People v. tunaplanet 0 #2 September 11, 2004 He also slammed bush for putting 200 billion (forget the exact number) into the war in Iraq instead of healthcare, etc... The only problem is he said in an earlier interview that we should support our troops in Iraq. When asked how much money we should put in he responded, "As much as it takes." Flip...Flop...Flip...Flop... And to think...Kerry could have been a contender for the White House if he would have simply picked a stance and stuck to it. Instead we get the endless string of lies. TomAiello 26 #4 September 11, 2004 Does anyone have any actual specifics on Kerry's Health Care Plans? I've just spend 30 minutes looking around for specifics, but all I could find were Kerry's campaign page, which is really vague, and a bunch of right wing rebuttals of Kerry's plan as incredibly expensive, ineffective, etc. Can anyone point me at hard data as to what Kerry wants to do?-- Tom Aiello Tom@SnakeRiverBASE.com SnakeRiverBASE.com
Jib 0 #5 September 11, 2004 The reason why I posted this was because I was told to find the answers at Kerry's official website. I'm only repeating what I found there. -------------------------------------------------- the depth of his depravity sickens me. -- Jerry Falwell, People v. Jib 0 #6 September 13, 2004 C'mon. You guys must have some idea how he's going to work his magic. Or is it just smoke and mirrors or optimistic prevarication? -------------------------------------------------- the depth of his depravity sickens me. -- Jerry Falwell, People v. Maybe he'll have Congress take another look at the last (Bush) proposal, but this time they will be allowed to see the cost estimates instead of having them withheld by the administration until after the vote.... freeflying 0 #8 September 13, 2004 A lot of paperwork costs will be reduced investing in health information technology -- e-prescribing, electronic medical records, interoperability among private and public payors. Its amazing how much is wasted on paperwork, redundant services, labor, etc. However, this is something that already is happening and a big effort of both private and public industry. It is also something that is a big part of the Bush Administration -- he created by Executive order a health information technology office and has a 10 year plan in place (he announced it in May)...
