tunaplanet 0 #2 October 1, 2004 QuoteI thought they weren't going to show/have reactions to the others comments. That is what the candidates agreed to. FOX is the one who is there now. All the other networks are feeding off of their cameras. FOX said they did not agree to the camera angle and would film it the way they feel is right. headoverheels 333 #6 October 1, 2004 I'm still at work, so I'm listening, not watching. So far, it's preaching to the choir, on both sides. Both men keep repeating themselves -- must be firing off practiced phrases.

Zenister 0 #8 October 1, 2004 Kerry seems better prepared and is showing much less fluster by Bush's comments than Bush is by Kerry's... simply on basic posture Kerry is winning this one... Bush is having difficulty standing without leaning on his podium... it is certainly not much of a debate as it is, as others have pointed out, a 'dual press conference' but how often has Bush said "uhh... ummmm uhhh" as he collected his thoughts in response? How often has he reverted to catch phrases as rebuttal? His handlers should have spend much more time working with him....____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed. freeflydrew 0 #11 October 1, 2004 Bush is a bumbling fool... (At least when he's speaking without a script) Everytime Kerry confronts Bush, Bush just repeats himself and doesn't address what Kerry has said. "We must be steadfast" du du du du du du du...ba ba ba ba... uh uh uh uh ... er er er er.. ha ha ha! F-O-O-L
Zenister 0 #12 October 1, 2004 pay attention to the actual statement..I know it might be hard, but are you actually watching the debate??? leaning on your podium is a big no no... it projects weakness of position and a lack of confidence. and who's saying it.. your continually misapplied labelling only illustrates your ignorance.____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed. Michele 1 #17 October 1, 2004 What this debate has crystalized for me is the primary difference between the way the Liberal Left and the Far Right looks as things; their perspective is vastly different, and while they are facing the same problems, they are diametrically opposed as to what to do about the situations facing us, and what the effects of such actions would do. As for new stuff, there really isn't much of it. Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~

I think he won as a speaker, but don't think he has really said anything concrete. So what is Kerry planning to do that's so different? I didn't hear that much of a difference. tunaplanet 0 #23 October 1, 2004 Quote leaning on your podium is a big no no... it projects weakness of position and a lack of confidence. Interesting opinion. To each is his own. I prefer a leader to lead from the front. To have a position and stand by it. Whether he leans or not is the least of my worries. It's clear liberals have other priorities.
