Well, we kind of did start one (with the HOA). They cited some screwed up Florida law (mind you I live in CA NOT FL), where some dude erected a flag pole in front of his house (something like 50 feet tall) and the courts upheld the HOA's fines, etc. against the homeowner.

Unfortunately, they have decided to screw with a litigation paralegal...and so off I am to protect my constitutional rights (in small claims court ).

I think this one needs to be hijacked so that it never has to go there. Something non controversial.

So -- is it overkill to have both a Cypres and an RSL on my rig? How about if I hookturn the landing?

how ridiculous! The last time I checked Kerry isn't the President of the United States... kind of hard to put his pic next to all the other presidents....

i guess the teacher could have put next to all the presidents' pictures all the other candidates that ran for the office at that time

When you move into condo commando-land, you sign away lots of rights. They tell you what color your door must be, when you can put out the trash, what you can keep in the front lawn, etc. How big flags can be, if at all. If you didn't like the terms, you shouldn't have signed on the dotted line in the first place.

Why did they say this? Is there a clause in the CC+R's that say you can't fly flags? Because while I think that everyone should be able to fly whatever flag they want, signing a document saying you won't then doing it anyway is wrong. It's like signing the waiver then suing the DZ because you sprained your ankle.
