Michele 1 #1 October 9, 2004 13 minutes and 3 questions in, it's going hot already. Gloves are off. (Bush really does better in a town hall meeting format.) Watch it if you can. tunaplanet 0 #3 October 9, 2004 Who is this Bush guy? Definitly wasn't the one last time. He looks a million times better and is doing great so far. Forty-two

Gravitymaster 0 #5 October 9, 2004 Bush has that box between his shoulder blades. I wonder whats up with that?
Michele 1 #6 October 9, 2004 GM, I'm pretty sure that's personal protection stuff. Wow, this is getting really really interesting. A few really good shots on Kerry, and not so many good shots on Bush. If Bush can maintain his composure (he almost lost it a bit ago), he's gonna win. And Clinton is being brought up a lot by Kerry...I wonder if that will play well? Just my opinion, of course.... quade 4 #7 October 9, 2004 I disagree about GWB winning this thing. He keeps falling back on the same canned answers he used in the first debate and I think most folks are going to see that as him being weak and uncreative in coming up with something new to say.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

Gravitymaster 0 #11 October 9, 2004 Another Kerry flip-flop. Earlier he bashed Bush for giving tax cuts to the waelthy, now he says he is going to give "Tax Incentives" (read:cuts) to Corporation to keep jobd here.

Because the labor costs in countries like India are a fraction of what they are here. The only way he can give that large of an incentive is to subsidize the pay of the American worker. Of course it doesn't surprise me that Kerry would blatantly advocate Socialism. He is the number 1 Liberal in the Senate after all.
kallend 2,027 #14 October 9, 2004 Bush just claimed to have proposed ther hydrogen car. Is he competing with Al Gore's invention of the Internet?... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.
quade 4 #15 October 9, 2004 I dunno. It surprised the heck out of me to hear him say those same things.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
Michele 1 #16 October 9, 2004 And now Kerry starts dropping names...regarding stem cell research. Great and delicate question about adult cell regeneration.... BTW, iirc, he didn't say he "invented" the hygrogen car... And no, it's not a jet-pack...I dunno what it is, but what it is not is a radio. Bush is talking too fast and with few Uhs and Ums for that as even a remote possibility. I'm not suggesting GWB is one of them; it's a skill he probably doesn't really care to develop, but it can be done and some folks do it quite well. Michele 1 #19 October 9, 2004 I know, quade. I have that skill. But it takes a whole different skill set than he's showing tonight. I think Bush should be really, really proud of himself. Kerry didn't do badly at all, but Bush did magnificently! It's all right...Kerry won the first, Bush won this. It's a tie so far...the third will be amazingly popular. quade 4 #20 October 9, 2004 Ok, here's the deal, neither one of us, (you or me) should be calling this. We should be waiting for the polls to determine who "won". Is http://pollingreport.com ok as a resource? I use it as a reference all the time and most people feel it's unbiased in its reporting of the biased polls. quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
