This is SC not BF I wasn't trying to start a fire, or a fight, I was simply trying to get people to take a second away from arguing their viewpoints which they are all entitled to have, to say thank you. I wasn't picking a fight I was asking people to remember that even though we don't agree with what certain people are doing over there, or what the country as a whole is doing over there, men and women are still fighting and dying over there, regardless of what we think of them. So please out of respect for the people that protect our country, don't discuss that in this thread, I will be more than happy to discuss it with you anywhere else. But please leave this thread for expressing appreciation for sacrifice.History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Darius11 12 #27 November 17, 2004 Please except my apologies I meant no disrespect. There has been so much arguing I assumed that was what you were trying to do. GeordieSkydiver 0 #28 November 17, 2004 To answer the initial question, its easy. Welcome them back. Buy them a beer, pat them on the back and tell them "we are glad your home safe" Ask if they want to talk about it, if they dont, then dont. If your an ex-serviceman or serviceman yourself, then a nod and a beer will suffice. Best thing anyone ever said to me post tour.. "Great tan, been anywhere nice?" I laughed hard.Lee _______________________________ In a world full of people, only some want to fly, is that not crazy? http://www.ukskydiver.co.uk

And maybe even then keep your opinion to yourself unless asked for it. Wendy W.There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. bizzylizzy 0 #30 November 17, 2004 My brother is training in the Navy right now and it is highly likely he will someday head off to war. No matter what my views, for or against the war I would never want him to be there think I didnt fully love and support him. Our soldiers are not policy makers. They are at the most basic level, doing their jobs. Yes they signed up and knew the potential risk but they deserve every ounce of our love and support.Eat, drink and be merry for tomorrow we die. -Dave Matthews
