The guy that was diagnosed with the super strain was HIV- before he did crystal for a weekend and went to one of these sex parties. I say what a stupid fuck. Some of these people just don't care.

I'm with you on this and even gay writer Rex Wockner agrees with me and you too. He had some real harsh things to say about this whole situation and he's right.

The guy that picked up this rare strain on HIV was to me a stupid shit who should have known better. He admitted to his doctor that he was HIV- and went to a crystal meth party and just let it all go. Gay author Rex Wockner had some choice words for this incident in his column on 365gay.com and Rex is right in what he said.

HIV is also running rampant in the Black Community.
This disease is everyone's problem and we all have to pitch in and educate our friends to be safe and also spend the money on research so one day we can eradicate HIV. Were very close to taming it as new discoveries are being made everyday into the workings of HIV and it's vulnerabilities and new medicines will be introduced to target these vulnerabilities.

Like I wrote before, I enjoy trading barbs, but when I do it appears some conservatives feel offended, cry or snivel according to you, and then I get reprimanded. Same difference? What part of AIDS don't you get?

The flu is a minor inconvenience for most and a killer for some. AIDS is killer for everyone; true, these day's life expectancy is a bit higher, but the drugs necessary to live a longer life come with a big price - quality of life.

There is a higher rate of HIV in Homo sexual males than any other group.

The reasons?

1. The quite simple fact that during Anal intercourse the wall of the anus is torn and bleeds. This allows for a MUCH higher rate of transfer than vaginal intercourse.

Women are more likely to get HIV from an infected man than a man from an infected woman.

Add in the the bleeding from anal intercourse and a gay man can transfer HIV to a gay man via anual intercourse much easier.

2. Lack of use of a condom in young men. Hetero men don't like to use a condom and when they do it is most times to prevent getting the woman pregnant. Young gay men follow the same pattern. Neither group seems to think of HIV, and gay men will not get pregnant.

3. I don't know if this is everywhere, but a gay friend of mine in CA (LA) told me that he could get laid everynight if he wanted to. He has said the same thing about a few other cities. His opinion (and a few others) is that young gay males "sport fuck" a lot. Now if I could find a few females with that mindset.

Worldwide, HIV/AIDS is split about evenly between men and women. It's about a 45-55 split. 60-70% of new cases worldwide are heterosexuals.

This is NOT true. Women are at as much risk from vaginal intercourse as a man performing anal sex is. The spread of this myth (i.e. "women don't get AIDS from sex") is the primary reason that more than half of new AIDS cases are women. That bit of misinformation is literally killing people.
