Rebecca 0 #2 March 23, 2005 Nice! Makes perfect sense to me, actually, always has. It's a trade off. Kids + Quality of life = Fewer hours spent working = less money. 60-90 hours a week + no life + little to no family time = promotions & money. More men tend to choose one, and more women choose the other, but they're free to choose either and make the corresponding $$$. you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk? I love where I work, gives me plenty of time to be with my husband and future children (and skydiving!), but pays about 2/3 what I could be making, if not less. And few benefits. But I'm happy. Women, I think, tend to gravitate toward more fulfilling jobs, men tend to be more money motivated. Exceptions to every rule, of course!! justinb138 0 #4 March 23, 2005 Yep. I heard the writer on the Tom Leykis show a few months ago, and he shared alot of interesting statistics. It was kind of funny that there were still people that called in to gripe at him.

I've known several women, unmarried & married, no kids, high-power exec. jobs, lots of travel, lots of work, and lots of money. Porsches, luxury trips, expensive suits and jewelry, fancy homes, the works. I just don't know how some women try to do it all- big job, big money, plus kids, marriage to a working husband, home life. THAT, to me, sometimes doesn't look like much fun from the outside. you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk? kelel01 1 #7 March 23, 2005 I agree 100%. I never want to have to work more than 40 hours a week, and I'm willing to take less pay for fewer hours and a better quality of life.

Hell I'm a guy and that doesn't look like much fun at all. I'd simply rather not work, but I don't want to take a pay cut either. This ad space for sale.
