Kennedy's correct in that a person can sue for whatever reason over here. It also depends a lot on which state you're in when it happens as to whether you'll be prosecuted or not. More liberal states tend to give the criminals much more protection than more conservative ones. I live in the South-East. I probably wouldn't have to even set foot in a court building. Not in that circumstance. Also, if I didn't have a pistol with me, the investigating officer would probably have asked, "Why not?" You have the right to defend yourself with deadly force if you feel your life is in danger from a person using deadly force against you. Am I right, Kennedy? That guy deserves to be grass fertilizer somewhere.

I worked as a repossessor for over five years in every scum neighborhood in the SF Bay Area, and I saw this sort of activity almost weekly. The view of the authorities is that you should have insurance to cover your property because we are too busy to deal with the little stuff. Generally, yes, but again check your local laws everyone. Some states require that duty to retreat the Florid recently repealed. Hell, some states even have a "duty to retreat" in your own home. In those places, if you can't show that you had no other options, that you actively tried every possible escape, you'll be going to jail and trial. Fairly ridiculous, but then many laws are.

If I thought this was real I would have no problem with capping him or running him over but watch it all again, damned convenient that he had a tire iron waiting for him under the mailboxes or whatever they are. One frustraed rap "artist" and a wannabe movie maker put this together.

But I bet that the person whoes car was being beat on was not in on it.

Lets see, She would be arrested for vehiclular homicide. In court the prosecutor would make the case that she was never in any real harm. At several points the attacker could have hit/killed her but didn't. He was only hitting the car, a material thing like a car is not worth a human life. blah blah blah. A jury would probably find her not-guilty but not until after a long legal battle

After the criminal trial she would be sued by the family of the attacker claiming damages and how 'he was such a nice boy' and a 'model citizen, just trying to get ahead'. She would have to fight this law suit, eventually win it.

After both lawsuits she would have to file personal bankruptcy because she has lost her job (in court too much) and has no money (paying attorneys).

Personally, if I was in her position. I wouldn't have a problem parking my back tire on his chest. I don't know if my brain could think fast enough during the event. I would probably just try to escape like she did. From the outside it looks like it took 1 or 2 minutes for her to get away. For her it probably seems like seconds as the adrenline pumped and her vision narrowed. Kinda like your first tandem.

I think it was staged on the part of the 'rapper/attacker' and the camera operator. I think the woman in the PT cruiser was in the wrong place at the wrong time. It was staged, he didn't want to kill her, he wasn't really enraged, he wanted to look tough.

I found it very interesting.

I have had 4 guys in a car play that "Head light game" and chase me down (with my 3 daughteers and wife in the car.
I have a fight record of 114 with only 5 losses.
I was taught NEVER underestimate your opponent/s
Funny thing is... that night, my mid-size station wagon out weighed all 4 of them while keeping my family safe inside.
none of them walked away from it. ALL were hospitalized.
I called the Police and NEVER heard a thing about it after that night.
