But honestly, is it too much to ask for planes to have working radios?

The first time I heard that, I didn't believe it, either.

I am also amazed that they haven't come up with a way to commicate between planes that doesn't rely on the pilot arbitrarily listening in on a published frequency.

I just think it funny that 30,000 + paople were evacuated. the work day of the governmentwas brought to a complete standstil, but it wasn't a big enough of a deal to actually tell Bush about it until he was finished his bike ride through the park.

Only three buildings were evacuated - the ones likely to be the target of a terrorist attack: The White House, Congress, and the Supreme Court.
