billvon 2,990 #26 June 9, 2005 >Your kidding me, right? Not at all! God sez - Ephesians 5:21-24 -Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be subject to their husbands. >Gag me! Hey, that could be fun! And even God thinks that would be best if you ever go to church: 1 Corinthians 14:34-35: Let your women keep silent in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak; but they are to be submissive, as the law also says. And if they want to learn something, let them ask their own husbands at home; for it is shameful for women to speak in church. So it's best to keep quiet if you're a woman. Unless, of course, you want to ignore God, and listen to, oh, someone like - SATAN? >How do you stand yourself? I usually lean against things.

"I used to be straight once, but then I saw that I might have babies, and this could harm the world. Everyone should be gay." A vasectomy is much easier. This from a guy with four kids, though. Spizzzarko 0 #32 June 9, 2005 I think a lot of people are really missing the point of the Bible. The bible can be "interperated" in so many ways. Look at it... Why do we have catholics, evangelicals, protestants, lutherans, ect ect ect? It's because some group decided to "interperate" the bible a little differently than the other group. Who wrote the bible? Man did, many many century's ago. Don't you think that society at the time wove a few of their beliefs into the writing of the bible? Don't you think society has changed some since then? I would think that if we wrote a bible now, that generations in the future would have problems interperating it, and may not agree with what we put down on paper. Why should we care if someone is gay or not, or if God Made Adam and Eve, and not Adams and Steve. Just let these people live their lives, and if they are condemned to hell for eternity, that's between them and God. Personally I feel the bible is trying to tell us not to judge each other, and to treat each other well. I'm sure it is also saying, believe in God, and do good thing, and you will be rewarded. Don't believe in God, and do bad things, and you will be punished. It has some pretty basic rules of life to live by, but there is only one way for us to truely find out. Rebecca, this isn't really directed at you, but to all the people who read this thread, and to those who are trying to force their religions down on other people. This isn't how we should be doing things in America, and I cannot believe that in this day and age, that some people havn't figured this out about America. Respectfully Signed, Grant S. That's the best thing I've read in this whole thread. Why are we humans so concerned about another person's eternity? Shouldn't we be more focused on our own? Shouldn't we be more focused on setting good examples for the people around us? It has nothing to do with WHO we love. It has everything to do with HOW we love. I'm not gay (not that there's anything wrong with being gay) nor am I religious. I do believe though that these religious nut cases who claim that their way is the truth cause more trouble than anything. God help us (pardon the pun) when these religious nut cases turn the USA into a theology (as they so much desire).
