Secondly, why get all hung up on this and distract from the actual topic of this thread? How little America values the life of non-Americans.

Uh, the same thing could be said of almost any country, religion, race....Darfur bring up any stories? 9/11? Saddam? Suicide bombers killing people in London?

Who said I don't think the troops were stupid? FIND ONE POST WHERE I HAVE DEFENDED THEM...Go ahead look. I have been very consistant on punishing people who do bad thinsg no matter who they are.

However, Darius and you seem to jump all over the US by default. I tend to give our troops the benefit of the doubt.

Go ahead find where I have defended them and said they have done nothing wrong....Go ahead....I'll wait.

How can we? - You haven't posted anything about the actual topic of this thread, but started another one instead about who may call whom a coward.

Correct. Part of the problem.

It is the very valuation of life which defines us as invaders or liberators; a liberator risks his life to save anothers, an invader watches out only for himself.

The ROE is mostly based on THREAT. If you are in Sunny Florida you might have a "return fire only to defend and break contact ond run like hell."

Other places (Like Falujiah or Detroit :P) you might have return fire and attack.

The biggest problem I have with this report is the "they kept rolling" part. Shows a massive lack of responsibility

Could be:

1. They were jackasses.
2. They had a mission to go from point "A" to "B" wth "X".
3. They were told to not stop since a nice big convoy is a GREAT target.

Some default to #1....WAY to often while daming anyone that thinks otherwise.

I tend to go with #3 to be honest.

not only that but he posted several other personal attacks to others, so whats good for the goose is good for the gander.

He acts as if they apply to want ads "do you want to shoot people for lots of money...if so dial 1800 827658964 "

No respect

You can not attack a person you do not know. Clay is not killing for money, clay is building the country, sadly there is a war that stands in his way. So fuck you for being a prick. How dare you refer to him as scum without knowing anything.

I am ashamed that I welcomed you to this country.

Lady. Welcome to SC, where everybody is attacking everything crossing its road

I am impressed: You did welcome Darius "to this country"? If I remember well, you are not a natural borne US citizen, am I right? Correct me, if I'm wrong :$

Don't get me wrong: I pull off my hat for everyone who's been sent to serve in a country like Iraq, Afghanistan, wherever it might be. One might consider this as a paid job like every job?

No, he said that IF Clay killed for money (the definition of which is being discussed in another thread), he thought that Clay was scum. That was after stating that mercenaries were scum, and being called on that because we have one in our midst.

Whether Clay is a nice guy or not (which he is-- he cares about his mother's feelings) is irrelevant. Really.

Darius also got warned.

It's not always about loyalty. Sometimes you have to weigh what is in your creed against loyalty to (whatever). That's a tough position to be in.

Good point, Ron. There have been incidents where the terrorists have set up a situation that would cause someone with compassion to stop and then killed them. It is sad that some people automatically assume the worst of our troops.

You suck at being discrete then. I've seen maybe one or two personal attacks as blatant as yours.

And SkyDekker had it right. There was a huge IF attached to that statement. And Darius didn't even bring Clay up - Ron did.

And if you don't think that there ARE people who think, "Yea! I get to kill people in this job!", then you're naive.

When did I ever say the word PEOPLE, I said CLAY, who I know QUITE well. Im not naive to that extent. Read my post, I may be a bitch but no one calls my Clay scum or even refers to him. MY opinion and I am entitled to it

When i applied to the FBI after 9-11 they didn't want me. Who knows maybe this time.

Try the US Agency for International Developement. ;)

As for "They kept rolling." Ummm...........they just got ambushed (Or had a reasonable belief that they were going to be). The LAST thing you want to do there is stick around "On the X." It's really easy to Monday morning quarterback this shit but you aren't the one staring down a VBIED. :S

Start other threads then

Do me a favor...Don't pretend to think I follow your orders.

Easy cowboy. This isn't personal. I don't really care about what you think personally. I made that decision from posts a long time ago.

Ya know I asked you to find ONE statement about me defending the Troops that did this...But you can't so you start this shit.

You made a statement, now back it up or apologize for speaking out of your ass.

Careful you don't paint yourself into a corner now Ron. This is important. Which statement did I make now?

More and more innocent people are dying in Iraq because the American troops are shooting first and not bothering to ask questions later. There is little to no repercussions to their actions. This thread is about that.

I merely hinted that you should try and stick to this topic rather then get hung up on someone calling an American soldier coward. No more then this.
