From the US liberal elite.....

Recommended Posts

The liberal intellectuals on each coast thanks our slightly less intelligent and more warlike midwest and southern population for fighting a war for us.

While we on the educated, more metropolitan side of things find your nationalism both repellent yet somehow cute in folk-art sort of way, we understand that you may be misunderstanding how things are.

We make far more money than you because we have a higher level of education.

You are bred to work for us. In times when we need to blow people up we send YOU to fight, kill and die for us. In return we pay larger taxes that is redistributed to our slightly less intelligent and unskilled neighbors.

Thats right, the Blue states fund the Red states - why? because we have the brains and you have the brawn.

Us 'liberals' merely take that stance because we can use our brains to assimilate facts rather than knee jerk 'kill them all' reactions. Thats why the educated on the coasts are ambassadors and most of you are grunts or members of the 101st keyboard commando unit.

We thank you for your blinded propoganda, your inability to comprehend historical events realistically, your incredible lack of introspection and your small-town perspective.

We applaud your talents to go off half-cocked against any "enemy" we can build up in your mind as being worthy of your hatred, without even pausing.

Every society needs it's leaders, it's thinkers and it's raw muscle. We fulfill the first two roles for you. We thank you for blindly answering the call for any grunt work that needs doing.

We thank you for not asking 'why?' or 'how?', only 'where?' and 'when?'. Without you we could not make sure America stays great.

So my muscular, yet not quite as intelligent friends, crack open another beer and God Bless America, there's killing to be done and it certainly isnt going to be the us - the educated, wealthy, liberal middle classes that are going to die for the oil for our SUVs, it's going to be you.

[Sorry, I just wanted to see what writing a divisive, inflammatory left/right post would feel like - I'd like to thank everyone on the forum for posting enough examples that I could put this one together. I apologize for any actual factual content within this post. That thing about the taxes might have been a little below the belt
:P ]

TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking.

I wish I were at home so I could crack open a beer to go with the popcorn .

BTW -- "Us 'liberals'" should be "We 'liberals'" in the sixth paragraph, and the "it's" (all of them) in the ninth paragraph should not have apostrophes.

Just trying to help. I am, after all, a liberal east coast intellectual by birth, but a Texan now :).

It's hilarious. And, sadly, a real parody of some of the "liberal on the street" interviews we saw on national news just following the election - particularly from the New York and San Fran areas.

I'm hoping someone who writes better than me will do the corresponding right wing stereotype rant. But it usually devolves into less than parody and just the same serious positions. I'm surprise you pulled it off so well for the left for the same reasons. Since you're sorta left of center and did the lefty rant, I'd be very disappointed if a lefty does the right wing rant. It won't be as funny as someone poking fun at themselves is.

O.K., I'm slow. Took a couple times reading it.:$ Good one!

That's even funnier. Don't feel bad, some liberals actually are serious this way, so it's hard to see the self deprecating humor at first. I think it's a master work. Why don't you take a crack at the response?

Damn, I wish he was talking about me so I could respond, but alas I am an East Coast Conservative.

Make more money? What a joke. I would be very happy to bet one month of my income agaist one month of your income Mr. Crowley.

Bred to work for us? Apparently not if you consider the political affiliations of most of the top CEO's. You statement seems to condradict the "Rich Republican" mantra your ilk is so fond of portraying. I would agree with you however that Liberals have successfully B.S'd minorities with false promises while at the same time addicting them to govt. wefare programs deigned to convince them they cannot succeed without you. I say congratulations Mr. Crowley, you must be so proud.

The rest of your post simply contradicts it's own merit. Thanks for the laugh.

I think we're even on the money side. The number of Republican CEO's might outnumber the Libs, but I also think there's a much higher population of beer-guzzling backwoods GA trailer trash than there are real-life hippies.

And you have to take into account the incomes of all the liberal Hollywood types, too. ;)

Hippies? Heck, most of the former hippies I know have become conservative and many are very high income earners since they grew up.

There are also many poorly educated people from low income neighborhoods that have liberal educators to blame for decades of lousy educational opportunities. Most of them vote democratic because as Mr. Crowley has pointed out, they need them to do his grunt work. Considering the high percentage of minorities in the military Mr. Crowley crows about, I find this elitist attitude very sad.

Considering the anonymity of the medium I personally would never challenge another person's income, education or level of professional attainment for fear that I may end up looking like a fool if the information ever came up in conversation.

Then I'd suggest you not make sweeping claims you can't back up personally. Feel free to PM me and we can make the arrangements privately. My monthly income against yours. Winner take all. I can't see why you would have a problem, being so much smarter and having such a higher income.

Actually, I think he was mocking the self importance and pretensiousness of the more extreme members of his ilk.

See if you can step back long enough to do the same for our own FAR-right conservatives.

Very good, Senator. How are you, Sir?

Concerned. I was reviewing your original post in this thread with my distinguished colleague, Ted Kennedy, when he raised the subject of your residency status. I'll try and finesse the issue on account that you're a jumper, Teddy gets a little pissy before his luncheon martinis and I believe this will blow over ...

Hey, Wendy

Your coming around to the right way of thinking. Smart enough to make it to Texas.

Don't be fooled. I first met Wendy in Houston (actually Clear Lake) in 1992, I think. That's 13 years ago, and I'm sure she had been living here LONG before that!

She's a diehard! A beautiful and nice one, for sure, but still a diehard.
