But I was watching how the 3 ring system detaches and it seems like the 2nd middle ring is completely unnecessary. Why not just use 2 rings instead of 3? Each ring reduces the forces transferred higher up, so that at the loop end the forces are so small that pulling the cable through is relatively easy.
