Our Caring Leader, Chimpanzee-in-Chief

I'm not appalled by him playing guitar at a party. I'm much more appalled at people's desire to use this situation as an opportunity to polarize us against one another. These kinds of criticisms are much more harmful than the president playing a guitar....

From what I can tell, except for a vocal minority which is blindly supporting the President, this situation has unified the country quite well, not divided it.

Just what on earth do you people expect hime to do?

Well, as an outsider, I'd have liked him to show some leadership and he (and his like) showed precious little of that. A few Photo Ops do not a leader make!

It wasn't his job till the Governor asked for help. Are you suggesting he ignore the governor and take over the state regardless of her position?

Why not go ahead and help the state that had already asked for help?

When LA did ask for help, why not give enough to actually do a bit of good? Why wait so long after help was asked for to do anything?

Wow.........:(

How f**king un-original............

:Sa photo-shopped GWB bashing thread.............

We have quite a bit of talent around here........
We could photo shop Mayor Nagin(who delayed calling the feds until too late and who couldnt implement the NOLA evacuation plan) and Governor Blanco(who also delayed in requesting Fed help until too late) in a less than flattering pose.........of course it would be total bullshit, but that didnt seem to slow you down

But that's something most Kerry fascists will gloss over anyway;)

Cant let the facts get in the way of a good bash now, can we?

...and he (and his like)....

Interesting comment. Really clarifies every problem we are having today. It's definitely "their" fault because "they" don't understand us, or the situation, and have lost touch with us "the common men." How can they do anything else, but weep and wring "their" hands at the misery and sorrow that has been heaped upon us. If "they" even smile we should be offended! We should do away with his like.

Blue skies,

Jim

Exactly how long did the feds wait before doing anything? When did the governor finally ask for help?

The day of the storm? The day of the flooding? 24 hrs after being pushed by the Pres?

Blue skies,

Jim

Easy to say Bud, but difficult to prove. I will ask you again since you know so much about what went on. How long did the feds wait before acting in LA?

I've answered that question at least twice already, though not necessarily in this particular thread. Please do a search. :)

Yeah, I believe that you've analysed my comment correctly. It's my belief that over here in the UK, the politicians have lost touch (it appear to me that could also be true in the US). A lot of people see them as self serving and I'm sure that's not too far from the truth.
What can they do to improve things? Get off the fat over paid arses and talk to the real people not just rich corporations, is my guess, but what do I know? I'm just one of the saps that pay for their extravigant lifestyles>:(

Interesting, but not convincing. How long did the feds wait to take action in LA?

I am.

He ignored the world and took over another country regardless of the world's position. I don't see any reason why he couldn't take control of a situation in his own country.

If he's a strong leader (and he got re-elected on that idea, what a joke), he would NOT have waited for an incompetent governor's decision on a disaster of this scale. That he did is further testament to the fact that he is an incompetent governor himself.

I didn't know about the guitar thing until I read this thread. He reminds me of Nero with that instrument in his hands. What a disgrace.

Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

Lauren, I did my best to figure out what on earth you posted this for. I couldn't do it.

Here's something that would sway me, even if I didn't already hate our president and wish him harm every day.

Then I realized you were very clear, and no additional commentary from you was needed. Simple promulgation of hate and vitriol...nothing more in depth than that.

I'm always disappointed when the world calls us on our brains. I get over it as we are a young country and we have much to learn. But, I'm even more disappointed when so many us can't see the truth of it . . . if it walks like a duck, and it talks like a duck . . .

Three quarters of my own boot camp platoon was wasted in a jungle in the wrong country and for the wrong reason. I'm not anti-war so much as I'm anti-bush. I understand the beef the Arab world has with us, and a fist fight isn't going to solve it. We need statesman more than buffoons . . .

It's in the record that 3,415 of Texas's servicemen died in Southeast Asia, and more than a few were born the same year as Bush . . . so, if your stream of consciousness started in the 1980s, please think about the price already paid and for what . . . ?

Okay, Nate, I understand your point of view. I know what being young and in the military is about. I'm not knocking you personally. I'm just down the street from you (if you are at the sub base in Pt. Loma) so come around for a beer . . .

Oh, and if you live that close to me, you can teach me a thing or 2 (thousand) about base jumping eh? :P

Especially considering this is the far greatest disaster in terms of sheer numbers of people affected, long-term damage to our infrastructure, and lack of avoidability?

interesting..... granted this NO thing is bad... and granted the numbers affected are higher... however... most of the deaths could have been avoided. I wont go over the reasons they have been running through SC for days now. I do not see how what happened in NO is worse the 9/11... you are comparing apples to oranges and your lack of tact for the victims of both events is shameful.

Please just explain how 2 pictures that have been photo shopped into one picture , would convince people to dis-like our president? Guess what, at approx 6:42 pm the day after the hurricane I smiled and shared a meal with my children.... does that show that I am un-caring? No. Im slightly confused by your post.
Sudsy Fist: i don't think i'd ever say this
Sudsy Fist: but you're looking damn sudsydoable in this
